Fighting for the right to self determination of the people of Western Sahara. 21. What are the organizational aims/objectives of your organization? Making UESARIO branches stronger. building strong relationships and partherships with students and youth organization in the region and abroad. 22. What are your main fields of activity? Universities and high schools in Western. Sahara and abroad (Algeria, Spain, France, Cuba). 23. What have been your political priorities in the last two years? - pushing students to engage in the decision-making process. - Defending Saharawi students in the Moroccan Univirsities. - Campaigning for Human Rights and Natural Resources protection in Occupied Western Sahara. 24. Do you organise campaigns? On which topics? MINURSO mandate, asking UN to provide its peace-keeping mission in Western Sahara with the mandate to document and monitor the human rights violations in the territory. - Saharawi Campaign Against the Plunder to make pressure on the companies invovled in the plunder of occupied Western Sahara resources, in order to stop their illegal activities and withdraw. 25. (In terms of status, administration, policy) Yes, we have. Polisario (Frente Popular para Liberacion del Saguia Elhamra y Rio de Oro), which we are the studentile branch of. Our Gs is automatically a meber of Polisario National Secretariat (Political Board)/ 32. When were the last elections held? Did your organization participate in a campaign? [If yes, please indicate: with what message? was it the same as the party s one?] December 2015 (Polisario Congrees) our campaign was to call for the presence of the natural rsources on the political agenda as well as to give more power to the youth in the political decision-making bodies. 33. Can you describe the political situation in your country? What is the composition of the Left? How much does the Left receive in the polls? it s an going self-determination process. Western Sahara used to be a Spanish colony till Feb 1976. then Morocco had invaded the territory. now the Saharawi people is divided by a wall that split of the population between occupied territory, refugee camps and liberated territory. POLISARIO is the liberation movement APPLICATION FORM Page 5

of Western Sahara it s a left progressive movement and it's an observer member of Socialist International. 34. Is there more than one left wing party in your country? [If yes, please describe the differences among the parties and indicate whether there is a prospect of a united Left] 35. Any additional comments Saharawi Studenta are eager to join IUSY efforts to fight for shared values and principals. The last congress of UESARIO participants in their recommendations has emphasized, in particular, to seek the full membership in the international Union of Socialist Youth.
