Student Online Visa Application Checklist Please check if you are eligible to apply with Wintec first: Application time: Mon-Fri 10am-2pm (appointment recommended) at City Campus Student Enrolment and Information Centre Please come in one month before your student visa expires or if you changed your programme One Month Before your new programme's start date (whichever is earlier) to apply for a new visa You must hold a current student visa. Appointment Made: DATE: TIME: Must have passed at least 75% of programme of study from the current visa period (e.g. passed three out of four modules); Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery need 100% pass. Attendance (all students require 100%; please check your attendance with Student Enrolment and Information Centre); If your current visa states a New Zealand secondary school you must provide an attendance report from them. Your current visa is not expiring in the next three working days. Before submitting your application, please check you have the following: Fully paid your tuition fees; Completed Students Online Visa Application form as attached; Passport (valid passport to cover the whole new Student Visa period); New Zealand bank statement printed within three days, showing your name, physical address and the transaction history in last 90 days. The required money must have been held in your bank account for a minimum of five working days (except for overseas funds transfer). Total deposits of $1000 or more and any cash deposit from $100 need a detailed explanation written next to them and evidence provided. This 90 day transaction history must be from all of your New Zealand bank accounts (Except the credit card account) This statement must be printed on A4 paper and stamped by bank staff (Except ANZ this can be printed from online banking) Living expenses $7,500.00 plus outward ticket $1,000.00 (minimum $8,500 if applying for a half year visa) or Living expenses $15,000.00 plus outward ticket $1,000.00 (minimum $16,000 if applying for a one year visa) International student insurance: either Wintec insurance (included in tuition fees) or your own insurance (Visa expiry date plus one week); Additional information form for Saudi Arabian Scholarship Students (form available from Student Enrolment and Information Centre); Additional information sheet for all Saudi Arabian students and students from Hong Kong; Programme manager's letter of explanation if studying part-time to complete you Qualification. How to print my ANZ bank statement for a visa application? Please note: This is only used to apply for a student visa with Wintec 1. Log on to your ANZ Internet Banking https://digital.anz.co.nz/preauth/web/service/login 2. Click any account, like Go, Online Account or Serious Saver 3. Enter the start date and end date by the calendars to choose the period 4. Click View 5. Right click and choose Print 6. Then click Print 7. Click within any account to print a page with your address Please remember to print a bank statement from ALL of your ANZ accounts except credit card account.
Q When can I renew my Student Visa through Wintec SOL? A Normally within a month prior to your Visa Expiry (except for special cases). Q When is the latest time I can apply through Wintec SOL? A 3 Working days prior to your Visa Expiry.(If your Visa expires on a Saturday last day to apply through Wintec would be on Tuesday of that week) Q What are the Special Cases? A Changing your Programme of study (if you are going to study a new programme you will need a new visa before the start of this programme) A Christmas Period Q Do I need to make an appointment for Wintec SOL? A Appointment is always recommended. Q How do I make an appointment? A Please come and see us at the Enrolment and Information Centre or phone 0800 2 WINTEC. Q Who should I talk to regarding my Visa? A Wintec is not a Licensed Immigration Advisor. Enrollment and Information Centre can only help students with WINTEC SOL application, any other visa issues please contact Immigration New Zealand or licensed Immigration advisors. Q Do I need Medical/X-ray or Police Clearance Certificate? A Before you lodge your Visa application you must contact Immigration to check if these documents are required. Q Will I get the Visa Label or evisa when applying through SOL? A You will get a Visa Label, once Wintec receives your visa label we will contact you via email or phone. Q Can I Travel overseas while I am waiting for my new Visa Label? A Students MUST NOT leave the country once the visa application has been lodged you must stay within New Zealand until you have received your new visa label. Q What will happen if Immigration is requesting additional information? A You will receive an Email from Immigration or Wintec regarding the additional information, this must be supplied before the due date. (If this cannot be ready before the due date please let Wintec Enrolment Centre know as soon as you are aware of this we will then inform Immigration.
