Letter of instructions for members of delegations on ACP-EU JPA Czech Republic, 31.3. 9.4.2009 Members of delegations taking part in the ACP-EU JPA meeting in the Czech Republic need a Schengen visa. Delegates who do not hold a Schengen visa valid for the entire duration of the meeting should lodge their visa applications as follows: (1) Delegates from Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Angola, and Cuba should lodge visa applications with Czech embassies or consulates in their home countries; (2) Delegates in whose home countries the Czech Republic has no embassy or consulate may apply at the nearest French or German embassies or consulates Czech visa applications are also accepted by Czech honorary consulates. However, it is important to note that Czech honorary consulates do not issue visas. They only receive applications and send them to the competent Czech embassy or consulate for processing. As a result, applications lodged with honorary consulates take more time to process than applications lodged with Czech embassies or consulates. Annex. For a list of embassies and consular posts accepting Czech visa applications, see the Visa applications should be accompanied by:

- a travel document with at least 3 months validity beyond the intended date of departure from the Czech Republic - a completed Schengen visa application form (see the Annex or in downloadable format at www.mfa.cz/visaform) - 2 colour photographs 3.5mm x 4.5mm - an official letter of invitation from the organizers of the meeting - a letter from the delegate s national parliament proving that the parliament is sending a delegation to the meeting To ease the visa procedure as much as possible, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic will notify Czech embassies and consular posts about the meeting well in advance. For the same reason, participants are urged to contact the embassies and consular posts listed in the annex and consult on the visa requirements as soon as they receive an official invitation and a notice of their inclusion in their national delegation.
