Unit Objectives: World War II & The Cold War 1. Compare and contrast Fascism, Nazism and Communism. Point out 3 similarities as well as one fundamental unique characteristic that each possessed. 2. Explain how economic, political and social factors led to the rise of Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini. 3. Explain how the Nazi party used mass media & propaganda to gain support (rise to power) and legitimacy. 4. Discuss the policies Nazi Germany pursued, and explain how these policies led to World War II. 5.
