Poillucci stated a quorum was present. The agenda was accepted as provided in the Notice of Meeting. The minutes from the Annual Membership Meeting of November 4, 2015, were provided in the Notice of Meeting. Craig Johnson moved that the minutes be approved as provided. Bob Howenstine seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Poillucci announced that the Sea Palms Property Owners Association has returned to a Self-Governed community. He stated that the Board met to established 2016 goals that would be accomplished and communicated said goals to the community. The Board effectively enhanced communications with the community by establishing an automated Sea Palms Homeowner's email system to provide timely information, implemented a SeaPalms.org email for all board members, transferred the
SeaPalmOwner's.org website to a new server and rebuilt the website to take advantage of the more robust features offered from Website development and enhancement. The Membership Directory was completed and copies of the By-Laws & Covenants distributed to household. Poillucci recognized the BGJWSC for being present in efforts to message an upcoming project slated to begin in January 2017. He explained to the community that this project would involve the installation of an underground sewage line and that representatives would be available to answer questions after the meeting was adjourned. He expressed his appreciation to the Directors for their contributions to the community during 2016. Treasurer s Report: Graham reviewed the Balance Sheet, as of October 31, 2016, in the amount of $85,998.38. She gave a brief overview of the 2017 budget. There were a few comments from residents; John Starr requested that at the next Annual Meeting that the Board include columns of comparison of the two budgets. Graham stated that the 2017 budget will be posted on the Association s website. Unfinished Business: New Business: Speakers: None. Election of Directors - Brittin stated that four Directors would be elected at this meeting. Brittin stated the Nominating Committee has recommended the following member for election to the Board of Directors: David Anderson, Bob Duncan, Daniel Friedman, and Carol Sabo. Brittin had the nominating members provide a brief background of their qualifications. Brittin opened the floor for additional nominations. Hearing no nominations, the nominations were closed. The above listed members were elected to three-year term with 98 votes. Chief Doering summarized crime statistics in Glynn County. Commissioner Provenzano addressed post Hurricane Matthew debris removal and the assisted living project being developed at Frederica Road and Colonial Drive. He indicated that this project was approved by the planning commission and not the county commissioners. He further stated that traffic should not be impacted. He spoke to the financial health of Glynn County and reviewed services provided, particularly those relating to Sea Palms. Commissioner Elect, Dr. Peter Murphy expressed his concerns with development on the island, specifically the assisted living building across from Colonial Drive on Frederica Road. Dr. Murphy further addressed Joint Water Sewer concerns during the recent storm and his overall displeasure with service. Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 7:23 PM.
