No. 65) Shri Vijay Bakaya : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) what is the total area of Forest Land in the State ; (b) out of this what is the area that has been transferred for the nonforestry use in the State in terms of the J&K Forest Conservation Act ; (c) what is the amount paid by the indenting departments as cost of land transferred and what is the amount pending ; State? (d) how much compensatory afforestation has been done in the (Minister for Forest). RGARDING WATER SUPPLY SCHEME 147. *(C. Q. No. 421) Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether it is a fact that Dahama (Handwara) Water Supply Scheme was conceived forty years back ; (b) is it also a fact that during the last forty years the population has increased manyfolds with the result this scheme has become almost defunct ;
( 3 ) (c) is it also a fact that no filtration plant has been installed and water for this scheme is directly lifted from Dangewari Nallah with the result supplied water is unsafe for human use ; (d) if so, what is the latest status of Zona Rashi, Kupwara via Thandipora, Dhard Pora-Tharigam Water Supply Scheme? (Minister for PHE). REGARDING NEHAR NAIGADH WATER SUPPLY SCHEME 148. *(C. Q. No. 329) Syed Asgar Ali : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) what is the status of Naigadh Water Supply Scheme, Kishtwar and also the status of Nehar Naigadh Irrigation Canal Project ; (b) please give the names of executing agencies of the above two projects and the details of allotment of works with financial implications in both projects? REGARDING CONNECTIVITY OF ROADS (Minister for PHE). 149. *(C. Q. No. 342) Shri Subash Chander Gupta : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether it is a fact that there is an urgent need for improving road connectivity in rural and backward areas of J&K ; if so, please indicate (i) steps taken by the Government to improve road connectivity in all such rural and backward areas of J&K ;
( 4 ) (ii) (iii) district-wise/constituency-wise, figures of road connectivity in J&K State ; steps being taken by the Government for construction of bridge at Tarnah Nallah on old Samba-Kathua road for providing better connectivity to pepole of Hiranagar Constituency? (Minister for R&B). REGARDING. CONNECTIVITY OF ROADS 150. *(C. Q. No. 305) Shri Naresh Kumar Gupta : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether State Government is planning to connect the neglected areas of erstwhile Doda District, Kupwara, which have been declared as backward districts of the State, if yes : (i) (ii) what is the present status of Chatter Gala Tunnel on Bhaderwah Basoli Road, Sinthan Vailoo Tunnel on Kishtwar, Sinthan Road, Kapran Tunnel on Doda, Dessa, Kapran Road and Sudhmahadev to Marmat in Doda, 2nd alternative road to erstwhile Doda District ; whether work is going to start in this financial year, in view of most important tunnels, both in defence view point as well as tourism which will develop the area? (Minister for R&B). REGARDING COLLEGES 151. *(C. Q. No. 155) Shri Nurboo Gialchan : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) what steps Government has taken to make functional newly created colleges at Nubra and Zansker in Ladakh region ;
( 5 ) (b) how many posts (teaching as well as non-teaching) have been sanctioned and filled up so far? (Minister for Higher Education). REGARDING HDF 152. *(C. Q. No. 406) Shri Mohammad Ashraf Mir : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether a large number of persons have been engaged in various hospitals on HDF basis by Director, Health Services, Kashmir/Principal Medical College, Srinagar during the past three years ; (b) if so, name-wise/hospital-wise, details of such engaged persons be placed on the Table of the House and what criteria has been adopted in respect of their engangement? REGARDING UPGRADATION OF PHC (Minister for Health). 153. *(C. Q. No. 364) Master Noor Hussain : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether is it a fact that Purmandal/Utterbahini are very important religious places ; (b) is it also a fact that lacs of people are visiting these places every year and more than twenty villages are in its surroundings where more than twenty thousand of people are living ;
( 6 ) (c) it is also a fact that only one Primary Health Centre is existing at Purmandal which has limited staff and supplies ; (d) if so, does it intend to upgrade this Primary Health Centre into Sub-District Hospital in future ; and when? (Minister for Health). REGARDING OPENING OF WOMEN S COLLEGE 154. *(C. Q. No. 109) Shri Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether it is a fact that in reply to the C. Q. No. 105 tabled during the Autumn Session 2011 it was assured that subject to the condition land is made available, the long pending demand for opening of Women s College at District Hq., Doda will be fulfilled ; (b) if so, what progress has been achieved in this regard, details may please be furnished on the Table of the House? (Minister for Higher Education). REGARDING DEGREE COLLEGES 155. *(C. Q. No. 262) Shri Sham Lal Bhagat : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) whether the Government is contemplating to establish new Degree Colleges in the State during the next two years, if so ;
(b) ( 7 ) is there any proposal to set up a Degree College at Assar in Doda District, keeping in view the educational backwardness and topography of the area? (Minister for Higher Education). REGARDING PROMOTION OF PILGRIM TOURISM 156. *(C. Q. No. 451) Shri Ravinder Kumar Sharma : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) the steps being taken to promote pilgrim tourism in the State including Rajouri-Poonch Districts and the detail of funds provided/spent during the past three years ; (b) whether the birth place of Banda Singh Bahadur in District Rajouri and other important religious shrines in Rajouri-Poonch would also be considered for promotion of tourism and to respect the religious sentiments of the different sections? (Minister for Tourism). REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF PATWARIES 157. *(C. Q. No. 16) Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) is it a fact that knowledge of Urdu Language is pre-requisite for appointment to the posts of Patwaries ;
( 8 ) (b) has the Government filled be up all the vacant posts of Patwaries in the State ; (c) if the answer to (b) in the affirmative, do all the appointees possess the knowledge of Urdu Language ; (d) if all the appointees do not possess the pre-requisite knowledge of Urdu Language ; what steps are being taken by the Govt. to overcome this problem? (Minister for Revenue). REGARDING CONSTRUCTIONS OF FLYOVERS 158. *(C. Q. No. 55) Shri Vijay Bakaya : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) is it a fact that a number of flyovers in Srinagar and Jammu cities are proposed to be constructed to manage the heavy flow of traffic ; (b) if so, what is the number proposed in Srinagar and Jammu separately and at what places and at what estimated cost ; (c) is the source of funding identified for these flyovers ; (d) if so, what are the conditions on which these flyovers shall be funded and when will the work of construction of these flyovers start and be completed? No. 337) Syed Asgar Ali : Will the Government be pleased to state : (a) what is the procedure for recruitment of Police Constables/ Flowers/SPOs in the department ;
