1. Exchange of views on the future of the LUX Prize The Coordinators heard Ms Evelyne GEBHARDT, the EP Vice-President in charge of the LUX Prize, and Ms Doris PACK, the EP Coordinator for the LUX Prize, report on the current state of the negotiations on the future of the Prize; endorsed the draft Roadmap for boosting the profile and visibility of the LUX Film Prize; and mandated Ms Doris PACK, on the basis of the above-mentioned roadmap, to step up efforts to find agreements with the European Commission, the European Film Academy and Europa Cinemas, whether in the form of memorandums of understanding or letters of intent. requested Ms Pack to report back to the Coordinators regularly. 2. Petition 0224/2017 Decisions: The Coordinators approved the draft letter to the Chair of the PETI Committee, with the addition of a reference to the forthcoming Communication by the European Commission on language teaching and learning. The Coordinators decided not to be associated to PETI s planned oral question on Improving language learning and the mutual recognition of language competences in the EU, yet at the same time not to oppose its tabling by PETI. 5. CULT Public hearings in the 2nd half of 2018: Proposals for experts The Coordinators decided to extend the deadline for proposing experts for the planned hearings European Agenda for Culture (11 July 2018) and Education in the Digital Era (24 September 2018) until Tuesday, 22 May, 12:00, with a decision to be taken by written procedure shortly thereafter. 6.
