Course Description Origin and development of the U.S. Constitution, structure and s of the national government including the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, federalism, political participation, the national election process, public policy, civil liberties and civil rights. Response Topic 25% 3. Quizzes 15% Course Policies 1. Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated. 2. If you wish to drop a course, the student is responsible for initiating and dropping the course. Students who stop coming to class and fail to drop the course will earn an F in the course. 3. Students will be allowed to make-up one exam upon approval of the instructor on the Final Exam Review date on the course calendar. All other missed exams will result in a zero. 4. Amending and supplementing syllabus: The instructor reserves the right to change course requirements and/or dates that material will be covered and exam dates. Any such changes will be announced at least one class in advance and it is the responsibility of the student to check for any changes. 5. Respect other students, faculty and staff of LIT. 6.
