There are wide party, gender and racial divisions as American voters disapprove 51 40 percent of the way President Donald Trump is handling trade: Republicans approve 78 15 percent. The Special Counsel is conducting a fair investigation into possible links between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government, voters say 50 35 percent. Half of American voters give Special Counsel Robert Mueller good grades on fairness, and a big majority, including 50 percent of Republicans, say President Donald Trump should keep hands off, said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. That does not mean they believe there s a case to be made for links between the Trump campaign and the Russians. The phrase witch hunt is on the lips of 44 percent of American voters. The president bashes the agency, but more Americans are supportive of the FBI. -more-
