NEVADA REPUBLICAN PARTY October 1, 2012 Dear State Central Committee Member: As we head into the home stretch of the most important election of our lives, I want to thank you for everything that you re doing to elect Republicans up and down the ticket in 2012. Every door that you knock on, every phone call you make and every Republican that you ve registered gets us that much closer to victory in November. Enclosed are the details for the NRCC meeting scheduled for November 17 in Pahrump. Online registration is now available at www.nevadagop.org, and a registration form is also included with this info. Chairman Carns and the rest of the Nye County Central Committee have planned a fun filled weekend for us. Whether you like golf, poker, shooting or all of the above, be sure to check out the enclosed flyer or the events page at www.nyegop.org/nrcc.html. ARTICLE 10: VOTING AND PROXIES All voting and Ex-officio members who are present in person, or by proxy, have the right to vote on all matters coming before the NRCC and the Executive Committee, unless the proxy shall expressly state otherwise in writing. Any voting member may give a proxy for any regular or special meeting of the NRCC or Executive Committee and a proxy form shall be enclosed with the call of the meeting to each members. To be valid, a complete proxy form shall be dated and signed by the member, designate the proxy holder by name or as bearer, and, optionally, the time of day. At each meeting, the Chairman shall instruct the Secretary to examine all proxy forms and validate the signatures and declare the names of those voting by proxy. Challenges to proxies shall be the first item of business. No person shall exercise more than two proxies. The following rules shall govern to whom proxies may be given: A. Elected Constitutional Officers, Members of Congress, State and National Officers of the NRCC, immediate past officers of the NRCC may each give their proxy to any qualified Republican elector; B. Standing Committee Chairmen may give their proxy to any member of the NRCC; C. County representatives may give their proxy to any qualified Republican residing within the county (In case of the Executive Committee, representatives of the remaining counties@ as that term is used in Article 11, Section 1.A.2 may give their proxy to any qualified Republican elector residing within any of those counties); D. State Legislators may give their proxy to any other Republican State Legislator or any qualified Republican elector residing within their legislative district; E. Members representing Republican organizations may only give their proxy to qualified Republican electors who are members of the organization they represent NVRP01 (rev. 4/02)
