File #: Res. 2016-085, Version: 1 The election judges work very hard to ensure that the elections are conducted in a fair and impartial way. There were 73 judges spread across eight polling locations. Staff deployed approximately 100 pieces of election related equipment which involves loading and unloading each piece four times over two days. The time required to prepare for, hold an election and complete the post- election activities remains the same for staff and judges no matter what the voter turnout is or how many races are on the ballot. A huge thank you to the judges and staff that assisted with the election! Work for the General Election is already underway. Election judge recruitment and voter registration outreach will be among the first activities in early September. The number of election judges needed and equipment deployed for the General Election is anticipated to nearly double. Page 2 of 2 Printed on 8/ 11/ 2016 powered by Legistarm
