Mayor Stetski welcomed the delegation to the meeting. Karen Crawford, President of Cranbrook Heritage Association, and Anna Majkowski, Member, provided Council with: An overview of the association's contributions to protecting Cranbrook' s heritage brief history of the small brick Water & Electrical Building 3 May26,2014(Regu~0

Fundraising effort for the stabilization of the Water & Electrical Building The representatives of the Cranbrook Heritage Association advised that they would have a sheer wall engineer's report to be given to the Mayor in the coming week. Further, the Association asked Council to rescind the demolition order placed on the Water & Electrical building, and to move a motion that will guarantee both the future of the stabilization effort and of the building itself. Members of Council had general questions and comments for the delegation. Councillor Warner indicated that he may bring forward a motion to rescind the demolition order at a subsequent meeting of Council. Mayor Stetski thanked the delegation for the presentation. (6) BYLAWS BYL #3795 Moved by Councillor Whetham and seconded 259-14 THAT Council adopt "Multi-Use Recreation Trail Bylaw No. 3795, 2014"; and further, that Council direct Administration to proceed with enforcement of this bylaw on a complaint basis. BYL #3797 Moved by Councillor Whetham and seconded 260-14 THAT Council give third reading to "City of Cranbrook Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 3797, 2014." (7) BUSINESS ARISING RDEK & REC SERVICES Moved by Councillor Whetham and seconded 266-14 THAT Council receive the report recommendation from the Finances and Computer Services Department titled "Invitation to RDEK re: Recreation Services; and further, that Council direct staff to submit to the RDEK Board an invitation to meet with Mayor and Council to enter into discussions regarding establishing a joint Recreation Commission or Committee under Part 5, Division 4 of the Community Charter to oversee the goals and operations of the community's recreational services in order to best serve the interests of the residents of both the City of Cranbrook and Rural Area C. 5 May 26, 2014 (Regular)

(8) NEW BUSINESS UNAUDITED SCHEDULES 267-14 THAT Council receive the Report Recommendation from the Finances and Computer Services Department titled " Unaudited Complementary Schedules"; and further, that Council receive and approve the unaudited complementary schedules produced in accordance with the Financial Information Act; And further, that the Mayor and Director of Finance and Computer Services be authorized to execute the "Statement of Financial Information Approval." D.P. 1213 BAKER LANE 270-14 THAT Council approve an application for a Downtown Commercial Development Permit to enable renovations for an existing commercial building located on property legally described as Lots 29, 30, and Parcel A (see 1443671) of Lot 31, Block 86, Plan 669, District Lot 5, Kootenay District (PIDs-017-141- 257; 017-141-265 & 017-141-281 respectively), consistent with the application and plans submitted. 6 May 26, 2014 (Regular)

Staudt reviewed the Administration Updates dated May 26, 2014 regarding: 2 nd Street South Update; Airport First Quarter Report; Council Contingency; National Health and Fitness Day-June 7, 2014; Pitch In Week; Super Trustee Awards, and Library's 2013 Annual Report to the Community. T. Chernove, Managing Director, Elevate Airports Inc. presented a Tri-Annual Update PowerPoint to Council, which reviewed the following: Rebranding and new website; Online flight schedule; YXC Advantage; Passenger statistics update; Events at the airports.
