CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Administration Building 433 Centennial Road Bid Number 2012-23 SALE OF USED 3-COM DATA February 2012 AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT BID The Centennial School Board solicits sealed bids for the sale of used 3-Com networking and telecommunications equipment (see attached inventory) in accordance with the following conditions and specifications. This equipment is located at the District s Administration Building, 433 Centennial Road, Warminster, PA 18974. The net price supplied by the vendor must include the pickup, removal, and re-sale or proper disposal of all equipment. 1. Sealed bids for purchasing used 3-Com Phone Equipment from the Centennial School District shall be in the hands of Mr. Christopher Berdnik, Business Administrator, Administration Building, 433 Centennial Road, Warminster, PA 18974-5458 on or before 1:30 p.m., March 6, 2012 and plainly marked on the envelope "3-Com Equipment Sale Bid No. 2012-23". 2. Bids shall be opened on March 6, 2012 in the Centennial School District Business Office, Administration Building, 433 Centennial Road, Warminster, PA 18974-5458 beginning at 1:30 p.m. 3. A certified check equal to 25% of the winning bid price must be received within 5 business days of the bid opening. The balance must be paid via a certified check on or before the equipment is picked-up or shipped. 4. The Centennial School Board reserves the right to waive any or all technicalities in the bids. Bidders will guarantee bid price will remain firm for 90 days from date of bid opening. 5. The Centennial School Board reserves for itself the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to determine for itself what shall be acceptable as equals. 6. The District reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities. 7. Failure to complete and return the enclosed Non-Collusion affidavit with your bid will result in disqualification. 8. Bidder agrees to adhere to Anti-Discrimination Clause included within the contents of this bid. 9. The equipment is located in the District Administration Building, 433 Centennial Road, Warminster, PA 18974. 10. All equipment has been tested and is functional.
Bid Number 2012-23 February 2012 11. The winning vendor will be responsible to stage all equipment on pallets and shrink wrap if appropriate for removal from the District site. The vendor must supply a 24 hour notice to Susan Coyle either by telephone at 215-441-6000, ext. 11051 or by email at coylsu@centennialsd.org prior to equipment pickup. 12. All equipment must be picked up or shipped (per specification 11) on or before 3:00 p.m. prevailing time on April 19, 2012. Susan Coyle at 215-441-6000, ext. 11051 will coordinate the pickup with the vendor and inform the appropriate school district personnel of the pickup schedule. 13. The equipment pickup may be scheduled Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM 14. The list of inventory is attached to these specifications and all equipment listed must be picked up. This inventory list includes the type of equipment, make, models, and the quantity. 15. Please note that the Administration Building has a forklift but not a raised loading dock. 16. If the equipment is to be destroyed or recycled, the vendor must supply the appropriate Certificate of Destruction and/or Certificate of Recycling for all equipment in accordance with EPA regulations. 17. Bid Response Pages 1 & 2 should be completed. Response Page 1 should be itemized to include the amount paid to the District for each item, the amount charged to the District for each item (if applicable), an extended total per item and a net total for all items. ANTI-DISCRIMINATION CLAUSE (Section 755, Pennsylvania School Code) 1. In accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania School Code, the contractor agrees: a. That in the hiring of employees for the performance of work under this contract, or any subcontractor hereunder, no contractor, subcontractor, nor any person acting on behalf of such contractor of subcontractor, shall by reason of race, creed, color, discriminate against any citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who is qualified and available to perform work to which the employment relates; b.
