6.0 APPROVE INSURANCE RATES 6.1 I move the Buckeye Valley Board of Education approve the renewal of insurance for Buckeye Valley Local Schools through the Ohio School Plan for $108,552. The coverage period is July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. 6.2 APPROVE AMENDED FY16 CERTIFICATE OF ESTIMATED RESOURCES 6.3 APPROVE AMENDED FY16 APPROPRIATIONS 7.0 NEW BUSINESS 7.1 I move that the Buckeye Valley Local Board of Education approve the following consent agenda items, at the Superintendent s recommendation. A. Classified Substitutes Approve the following substitute for the 2015-2016 school year pending a background check. Jody Horner B. Certificated Employment Employ Jennifer Dauber as the Summer School Teacher at $25/hr. for 42 total teacher hours (36 with students and 6 planning). Summer School will be from 8:00am-12:30pm, Monday-Thursday, July 5-8 and July 12-15. Employ Evan Shaw as a Summer Tutor at $19/hr. for 2 hrs./week up to 10 hrs. total for a Middle School student in Language Arts. C. Classifed Employment Erin Sestrich Library Media Specialist Step 5-$16.12/hr. eff. 8/10/2016 D. Extended Year Tutors Employ the following as extended school year tutors for students for 4-6 weeks, at a rate of $19/hr. for up to 2 hours per week/student during the summer of 2016. 9.0 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION-on or off the agenda (continuation of 30 minute limitation) 10.0 DISCUSSION ITEMS 10.1 Work Session date and time for construction manager and architect 11.0 EXECUTIVE SESSION 11.1 I move that we go into Executive Session to discuss G-1, Employment and Evaluation of Public Employees, and G-2, the purchase or sale of property for public purposes. 12.0 ADJOURNMENT The Board reconvened in regular session at p.m. and upon roll call the following were present. Dutt Osborn Santschi White Whitney 12.1 I move that this meeting be adjourned. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT BOARD MEETINGS All meetings of the Board and Board-appointed committees are open to the public. In order for the Board to fulfill its obligation to complete the planned agenda in an effective and efficient fashion, a maximum of 30 minutes of public participation may be permitted at each meeting. Each person addressing the Board shall give his/her name and address. If several people wish to speak, each person is allotted three minutes until the total time of 30 minutes is used. During that period, no person may speak twice until all who desire to speak have had the opportunity to do so. Persons desiring more time should follow the procedure of the Board to be placed on the regular agenda. The period of public participation may be extended by a vote of the majority of the Board, present and voting.
