ANNEXURE Details of activities : 14 th April 2018 Ambedkar Jayanti ( District level Function) (i) (ii) The event will be organised by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will be celebrated as Social Justice Day. The nature of commemorative celebrations would be National and District level. Hon ble Prime Minister will address the nation LIVE on this day. 18 th April 2018 Swachch Bharat Parv (i) (ii) (iii) The event will be organised by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. On this day, Cleanliness movement will be celebrated in all Gram Panchayats especially whose which are not ODF. Efforts will be made to hasten the process of making these Gram Panchayats ODF. The process of ODF PLUS will be fast tracked. District Administration themselves or through Gram Panchayats may organise following activities: Review SBMG progress with the sub district authorities and Swachh Bharat teams to get updates on the progress and strategies going forward District Administration may visit those gram panchayats (GP) who are bottom performers on sanitation coverage Shramdaan may be undertaken by Gram Panchayats by cleaning or digging twin pit toilets in their villages Ratri Chaupal may be organised in the GPs with villagers local celebrities/ leaders may be mobilized to offer Shramdaan Organising Swachhata rally with door to door awareness generation around the importance of building and using toilets Mobilization of local celebrities, faith leaders, natural leaders from the community to deliver sanitation-related messages on the occasion Lead early morning nigranis to meet people heading out in the fields to defecate in the open, and convince them to start building and using toilets District Administration may engage local and national media through press conferences on the subject of progress made in the Swachh Bharat Mission in their districts, and to accompany them to any of the above activities Page1

20 th April 2018 Ujjwala Panchayat The event will be organized by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The Ministry will also organize LPG Panchayat meetings at Gram Panchayat level to sensitize the Ujjwala beneficiaries regarding safety and utility of LPG, health benefits of using clean fuels, etc. KYC forms will be collected for expanded categories of Ujjwala The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will be distributed LPG gas cylinder during GP/Block/District Level Functions. 24th April 2018 Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Diwas National level programme : On this day, a National level event, to commemorate the National Panchayati Raj Day 2018 will be organized wherein national awards will be given by Hon ble Prime Minister viz., e-panchayat Puraskar, Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskaar to Panchayats and Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskaar to best-performing Gram Sabhas. This year, a new category will be introduced viz Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) awards for the Best Panchayat Plans. Exhibition to showcase the models of good governance will be showcased along with success stories of various schemes of GOI where Gram Panchayats play a major role, will be organized. Hon ble Prime Minister will address all the Gram Sabhas of the country. Direct telecast of the address will be arranged by Doordashan. All India Radio will also cover the address of Hon ble PM live. Tele bridging programme of Hon ble Minister RD & PR to be organized by Doordarshan on 22 nd April 2018, wherein Hon ble Minister will be requested to interact with PRI members and beneficiaries from remote locations of the country. State Level activities: (i) Effective IEC campaign through Print, Electronic, A/V and New Media ( Social Media, mass mailing, bulk sms etc) will be undertaken by State Government, District offices and Blocks for making this campaign more interactive, effective and citizen centric. Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) and District Panchayat Presidents will be requested to participate in thesee meetings and give their suggestions to make the campaign more effective. Willl provide necessary IEC material in the form of print and audio visual aids for the use of District, Blok and Gram Panchayats in English, Hindi and various regional languages. State Govts. and District administration to use all kinds Media of to spread the message of the campaign. State Govts. to ensure the coverage of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan widely in the Print and Electronic Media. State Govt to make all out efforts to give due publicity to awardees of various awards, at regional level. Success stories of the awardees to be showcased through Regional Kendras of Doordarshan. Gram Panchayat level activities: (i) Gram Panchayat level programme : Gram Panchayat will be requested to organise Special Gram Sabhas on 24 th April 2018 to discuss important social issues viz. Immunisation and Health, Women Empowerment, Social Development, etc. Efforts will be made by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to reach out to rural population in campaign mode with programmes focused on their economic and social development. GPDP formulation process will be initiated by the Gram Sabhas. (ii) Drawing and painting competitions, as well as essay competitions in Bal Panchayats will be organized. Social media may be used fully. 28th April, 2018, Gram Shakti Abhiyaan (Block/District beneficiary Sammelan/recognition) The event will be organised by Ministry of Rural Development. On this day, the beneficiaries will be distributedd the entitlements of important schemes viz. Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Sobhagya Yojana, etc. Various District level programmes will be organised for distribution of benefits to the beneficiaries. District level : Distribution of entitlements to the beneficiaries of Aawas and Pradhan Mantri Soubhagya schemes. On this date function would be organized at the district level. In this function beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) and Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana Saubhagya would be invited. In addition, Page3

beneficiaries of other Government of India schemes may also be invited. During this programme, inter alia, the following will be carried out i. Distribution of entitlements to beneficiaries under different programmes ii. Awards to best performing functionaries of different levels (District/ Block / Gram Panchayat) involved in the implementation of various programmes. iii. Awards to Block / Gram Panchayat who are best implementers of different programmes. iv. Explaining salient features of different Government programmes and entitlements to empower beneficiaries through Nukkad Nataks etc. v. Experience sharing by beneficiaries / functionaries so that others are encouraged / motivated to perform or avail the benefits. vi. Discom can set up a kiosk to display details of SAUBHAGYA, including number of household which are to be electrified in the district with special emphasis on free release of connection, progress made since launch of Saubhagya and demonstration of app-based connection release. vii. Release of symbolic 100-200 connections under Saubhagya. 30th April 2018 Ayushman Bharat Abhiyaan The event will be organised by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. During this event, the information regarding Medical Insurance/Ayushmaan Bharat scheme will be disseminated to the targeted beneficiaries in the Gram Panchayat level meetings. A drive would be initiated for collecting additional informationn for each eligible household. Health related information will be disseminated. 2nd May 2018 Kisan Kalyaan Karyashala (Block level) The event will be organised by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. On this day, awarenesss campaign and training programmes at Block level will be organised in order to disseminate information regarding interventions for doubling the income of farmers by 2022. 5th May, 2018 Aajeevika & Kaushal Vikas Mela ( National and 4000 block level) A Joint Endeavour of DAY NRLM, DDU-GKY ( Ministry of Rural Development ) and Ministry of Skill Development Aajeevika Diwas will be celebrated at the National, State and Districtt / Block Levels. The following is a tentative list of activities planned at each of the state and district/block levels. It is planned that a detailed list of locations from all States will be available by the 5 th of April; and a detailed list of activities by the 15 th of April 2018. Page4

A. STATE LEVEL: - All states will take up IEC activities on Aajeevika Diwas and Gram Swaraj Abhiyan through audio and print media and traditional and other art forms, wherever possible. - All States will celebrate the day by organizing panel discussions / colloquiums with subject matter experts. Discussions will be around the theme of women s empowerment, with specific discussions on the subject of livelihoods, entrepreneurship, skills, social development issues - The Honourable Minister for Rural Development for the State or any other VIP may be invited to chair the event. - Participants will include Bankers, PIAs (under DDU-GKY) and RSETIs and SHG women. - Job Offer Letters will also be distributed; RSETI Bazaars will be organized - Awards to best performing Bankers and PIAs; - Live Telecast of Honourable PM s Speech - Half a day event B. DISTRICT / BLOCK LEVEL - All States will be asked to identify Blocks where the event willl be celebrated, totalling up to an estimated 1500-2000 Blocks. Where it is convenient for the States, the event can be celebrated at the District Level. - It is expected that Block Level Events will be for ~500 participants; if at the District Level, it is estimated that ~1500 participants will be there; these will be a 3 hour event. - The participants may include o SHG women, CRPs o DDU-GKY, Skills Development Ministry candidates o Officers from various Government departments o Local Administrative and Political leadership o Bankers o CSOs and NGOs etc. - The Honourable PM s message will be broadcast to all the participants - Activities will involve Prabhat Pheris, Presentations by Women of their Success Stories, Presentations by Bankers and RSETIs of success stories - Presentations by Government Departments on their specific programmes, and on the entitlements of women - Registration Counter for Kaushal Panji - Job Offer Letters will be presented - Screening of films by DAY -NRLM/ DDU-GKY / Skills - Credit Camp for RSETI Candidates - Cultural programmes - Flag off Skills Van for publicity Page5

Appropriate Documentation of the Event will be made and submitted by all States, including details of activities done, numbers of participants, media coverage and photographs. A Final Report will be submitted to MoRD by the 25 th of May 2018. xxxxxx Page6
