This will also be the weekend for Nominations for next Year s Board of Directors so please plan on attending especially if you would like to pursue a position on next year s Board. This will also be one of the last opportunities to purchase this year s raffle tickets. Fellow Indiana JCI Senators: First of all, Lynn and I want to extend our heartfelt wishes for a Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. The new year brings about the second round of travel starting with the Post-Holiday Party hosted by the Michigan JCI Senate on January 13th, followed by the US JCI Winter Board in St Augustine, Florida the weekend of January 18th -21st. The month ends with the IN/KY Joint meeting in Louisville, KY from January 26th -28th. There is a short break leading in to the Region V Spring Fling the weekend of March 16th - 18th, in Springfield, IL and then on to the Indiana Spring Meeting from April 13th -15th in Brown County, IN. Other than that, there is not a lot going on in Region V. Well the holidays are over and there isn t a lot to report since the last Indiana Newsletter. Lynn and I were accompanied by Region V VP Ray Ainslee and his wife and Past Illinois State President Melodie Ainslee, and National Secretary Mike Andrews and Past Indiana JCI State President Linda Andrews, to LaPorte Indiana where we were in attendance when the LaPorte Junior Chamber hosted a day of training for the Indiana Junior Chamber members. Region V VP Ray Ainslee was part of the afternoon training which culminated with a dinner where two new Indiana Senatorships where presented. As mentioned above, Indiana is in preparation for the IN/KY Joint Meeting being held in Louisville, KY the Next, Indiana is running its Lottery fund raiser again this year and tickets have been mailed. The rules for the raffle are as follows: Raffle tickets are $5.00 each. Tickets are numbered from 000 999. INJCI INJCI Senate Senate News News Page PAGE 3 2 PRES. COMMENTS CON'T... SECRETARY S COMMENTS Finally, we are coming to that time of the year when it is time to look in to the future for those individual Senators who can and will step up and continue a long legacy of successful State Officers. If you are new to the Senate or you have been thinking about stepping up and holding office, I firmly recommend that you give it a try. This organization needs new blood stepping up and bringing new ideas to their individual states. I personally have stepped up a bit too much, but I will still remain available to assist anyone looking for some guidance. Believe me when I say that there is always someone in this organization waiting to tell you where to go and how to do it. A caption is a sentence describing a picture or graphic. Happy New Year to all. Hope to see a lot of Indiana and Kentucky Senators. AT the Senator meeting. On January 26th - January 28th. A great time will be had by all.
