1.Number of Students Accepted 125 students per year Overseas application is only opened for exchange students from affiliated university. Maximum duration of study at the Japanese Language and Culture Program is 1 year / 2 semesters. Extension of stay that exceeds the maximum duration of 1 year / 2 semesters is not possible. 2.Admission Criteria s must have completed 12 years of formal schooling. 4.Application Documents All documents (No.1~9) must be original. Application documents will not be returned once submitted. Completed application must be submitted by the deadline. Financial Responsibility Must be filled out by the financial supporter (self / 2 From-2 Document family / other ) 3 Bank Account Statement in English / Original 4 Japanese Study History Form-3 Please submit Bank statement of the financial supporter. * needs to prove that they have enough funding (100,000 yen/month) to study in Japan. Dimensions of parts excluding the edges satisfy the dimensions shown in the diagram to the left (Dimensions of the face are from the top of the head [including the hair] to the tip of the chin.) 4. 5.Screening and Results The screening of applicants will be conducted based on the application documents. The results of the screening will be sent to each applicant. We do not accept any telephone inquiries regarding the screening results nor the screening criteria. 6. Student Visa All JLCP students must enter Japan with a student visa. Kanda University will apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for successful applicants. The COE is indispensable document to obtain a student visa. As soon as the COE has been issued from the Immigration Bureau, it will be sent to each applicant along with the Certificate of Admission and information on accommodations. Upon the receipt of the COE and the Certificate of Admission, each applicant is asked to apply for a student visa at the nearest Japanese Consulate/Embassy in his/her home country. 7.Cancellation of Admission Should the COE not be issued by the Immigration Bureau, or should the Embassy or Consulate not issue a student visa, or should there be falsified information found on an Application, admission to JLCP will be cancelled. 8.Enrollment after Admission Persistent lack of class attendance can lead to expulsion from the program. Please apply for the program after careful consideration. 9. 10.Requirement to take Undergraduate Courses s from affiliated university who have passed N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) are eligible to take undergraduate courses. Please also note that Bekka Interaction 6 class is compulsory for all exchange students. 11. Exchange students must purchase the following 3 type of insurances.
