Woman writer & poet who shared her political views on independence, and advised politicians. Writer of the book called History of Rise, Progress, and Termination of Revolution which discusses the American Revolution. James Armistead Side Chosen: During the Revolution what was he known for (Famous)? An African American Slave who served as a spy for the colonists during the American Revolution. He was very helpful in the Battle of Yorktown which ended the war. He pretended to a runaway slave and told the British he would help them to spy on colonists, but he really was a spy for the colonists. Bernardo de Galvez Side Chosen: Spanish - During the Revolution what was he known for (Famous)? Fought against the British in the American Revolution and helped the colonies take over Florida. The city of Galveston is named after him.
