That the application be submitted for and on behalf of the Shelby County Commission by its Manager who is authorized by this resolution to sign the application and any related forms or documents on behalf ofthe Shelby County Commission. 3. That the Shelby County Commission is authorized to enter into an airport improvement funding agreement with the State ofalabama, acting by and through the Alabama Department of Transportation, for the purpose of undertakinga project to make improvements at the Shelby County Airport, with partial funding provided by the State ofalabama. 4. Shelby County Airport; Shelby County, Alabama FY 2016 Pre-AppUcation 5-Uiiit Box Hangar Construction The Shelby County Commission has spent the last few years updating the Shelby County Airport with a runway extension, pavement rehabilitation and a new runway lighting system. As all of the Airport's airside needs have been met, the Shelby County Commission is currently constructing a 5-unit box hangar along a previously constructed taxilane. This additional hangar would accommodate more aircraft and provide valuable hangar space for prospective tenants, while serving as a source ofrevenue for the Aiiport. The design for this hangar was completedwith FY 2014 grant funds. The hangar began construction utilizing FY 2015 funds and the remainder ofthe construction costs are now being requested from FY 2016 funds.
