INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SUPPLEMENTAL LEVY ELECTION WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 33-802(4) Idaho Code, as amended, the Board of Directors of Independent School District No. 1, Nez Perce County, Idaho, has determined there is a need for a supplemental ad valorem tax, as permitted by law, of.0042 (.42 of one percent) on property situated within the district, for the purpose of paying all lawful expenses of maintaining and operating the District for the fiscal year(s) beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2024. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of Independent School District No. 1, Nez Perce County, Idaho, as follows: Section 1. Section 2. That a supplemental levy election be, and the same is hereby called to be held in Independent School District No. 1, Nez Perce County, Idaho, on March 13, 2018, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the District, the question set out in the form of the ballot appearing in Section 6 thereof. That on March 13, 2018, the polls shall be opened between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Section 3. That said election shall be held as specified in Notice of Election, set out in Section 8 herein. Section 4. That the polling places of said election shall be as follows: 2419 16 TH AVE., LEWISTON 3215 ECHO HILLS DR., LEWISTON 1424 MAIN ST., LEWISTON Section 5. Section 6. That no person shall vote at such Supplemental Levy Election who not at the time of election: 1. A United States Citizen, a qualified elector of the district, for at least thirty (30) days preceding the day of election, a registered voter in the District, and eighteen (18) years of age or older, within the meaning of Article 6, Section 2 of the Idaho Constitution; and 2. A registered elector within the District. That voting at said election shall be by secret ballot, and each ballot shall be prepared by the County Clerk and shall be in substantially the following form:

IN FAVOR OF authorizing the levy at the rate of $0.0042 x market value for 5 years AGAINST authorizing the levy at the rate of $0.0042 x market value for 5 years Section 7. Section 8. That immediately following the close of the polls, the Board of County Commissioners shall conduct the canvass of the election results within ten (10) days after the election in the manner prescribed by Idaho Code Section 34-1201, et. seq. The County Clerk shall certify the election results to the Clerk of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall subsequently issue the appropriate certificates of election. That the Clerk of Nez Perce County shall have posted and published the Notice of Election as follows: NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL LEVY ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN PURSUANT TO A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 NEZ PERCE COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO, ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 11, 2017. A SUPPLEMENTAL LEVY ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 13, 2018, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. AND 8:00 P.M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF VOTING UPON THE QUESTION AND PROPOSITION OF AUTHORIZING A LEVY AT THE RATE OF $0.0042 X MARKET VALUE FOR THE PERIOD OF 5 YEARS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING ALL LAWFUL EXPENSES OF MAINTAINING AND OPERATING THE SCHOOLS OF THE DISTRICT. SAID ELECTION WILL BE HELD AT THE FOLLOWING POLLING PLACES: 2419 16 TH AVE., LEWISTON 3215 ECHO HILLS DR., LEWISTON 1424 MAIN ST., LEWISTON ABSENTEE VOTING FOR THIS CONSOLIDATED ELECTION IS AVAILABLE AT THE NEZ PERCE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 1230 MAIN STREET, LEWISTON, IDAHO. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT OF 2002, EACH OF THE POLLING PLACES ARE ACCESSIBLE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.

The Clerk of Nez Perce County shall also cause the notice of election to be published at least two times, the first not less than twelve (12) days before the election date, and the second (2 nd ) not less than five (5) days before the election in the Lewiston Morning Tribune, a newspaper published in Lewiston, Idaho, and of general circulation in Lewiston, Idaho, and of general circulation in said school district.
