Can you separate between motorcycles and vehicles please? 8. How many recorded theft from motor vehicle from Greenwich Peninsula, including The O2 Car Parks, Edmund Halley Way between Jan-Dec 2016? 9. How many people arrested on Greenwich Peninsula, not including The O2 Venue between Jan-Dec 2015? 10. How many people arrested on Greenwich Peninsula, not including The O2 Venue between Jan-Dec 2016? Re-clarification The following offences should be used to describe Assault in answer to questions 3 and 4 Wounding/GBH Assault w/ Injury Off Weapon Other Violence Based on this, you requested People Proceeded Against (PPA) data in answer to questions 5, 6, 9 and 10. You defined the Greenwich Peninsula to be the following area in answer to questions 7, 8. The Greenwich Peninsula and The O2 Arena including The O2 Car Parks, to include Peninsula Square, Cutter Lane, Edmund Halley Way, Phoenix Road, Penrose Way, Pier Walk and Mitre Passage.

DECISION I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full, however an explanation is needed as we have not retrieved statistics for the offence of Off Weapon. Off Weapon, is used to describe the possession of an offensive weapon, and not assaulting people. We therefore decided it would not be correct to include this offence within Assault. To allow you to get an idea of the amount of Off Weapon offences for the area in question, the number was less than five (5) in 2016 As previously explained in the email asking you to clarify some points, we informed you the system which enabled us to be more precise on the location of the individual, could not retrieve Arrest information, but could retrieve PPA information. We have used PPA in place of individuals arrested. To remind you, PPA are individuals who are charged, cautioned or reprimanded etc. Not all individuals shown as PPA would have been arrested (ie taken into custody) but is someone who we are taking action against. Please ensure you read the Notes Page and refer to the map, to correctly interpret the information provided. A map of the area you defined, and a file containing the relevant crime stats are attached. Information Rights Unit

Notes The data in this report was extracted from the live CRIS MIS system on 7th February 2017. Live data is subject to change as records are reviewed and updated. There are three counts in this report: classified and confirmed offences notifiable to the Home Office, a count of property screens for stolen vehicles and people proceeded against. More than one vehicle may be recorded in a free text area of a single property screen. The offences and stolen vehicle data sets were searched for with a recorded date period of 01/01/2015-31/12/2016. The people proceeded against data set was searched for with a proceedings date period of 01/01/2015-31/12/2016. All data sets were limited to having an Owning Borough of RG - Greenwich and were then put through a separate geocoding process to match the crime numbers to a geographical location. Part of the customer's request was to geocode data to the Greenwich Peninsula. The customer defined this as : " the Greenwich Peninsula and The O2 Arena including The O2 Car Parks, to include Peninsula Square, Cutter Lane, Edmund Halley Way, Phoenix Road, Penrose Way, Pier Walk and Mitre Passage". A separate PDF document shows the area that has been defined as the Greenwich Peninsula following the customer's instructions. Please note that the boundary covering the O2 Arena as requested by the customer has been redrawn/extended to include the building called 'Ravensbourne' on Penrose Way as this is the official postal address of the O2 Arena. Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive. Note there can be more than one vehicle listed as stolen within a free text area of a property screen which this report may not pick up WARNING - Notes Please note that these tables are not the complete classified and confirmed crime tables for the MPS. Not all crimes have a geographical location (e.g. those shown as committed in the Central Criminal Court (CCC) Area.) and not all crime have a location that can be pin-pointed on a map. This means that these particular crimes cannot be allocated to a geographical ward boundary and as such will not appear in these figures. Approximately 10% of crime comes into those categories. This varies from crime type to crime type and from one borough to the next.
