2015 Research Action Ireland 01/15 Coordinator Develop, coordinate and undertake research for a not-for-profit charitable body that promotes social justice and welfare through community-based research and informed action. Identify and develop grant applications for funding for projects to enhance the social welfare of marginalized groups. Through collaborative partnerships work with local groups to identify issues relevant to the community, design research and action initiatives, advocate for changes to policy, and promote durable solutions. 2013-2014 Aftermath Project 01/13-12/14 Lead Researcher Conduct qualitative research utilizing semi-structured interviews and archival data for a cross border, cross-community initiative (funded under the EU Peace III program 2012-14) which utilised creative, artistic approaches to capture 87 life stories in order to highlight the issues and needs of the participants. www.aftermath-ireland.com 2009 Committee on the Administration of Justice 01/09-06/12 Policing Programme Researcher Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to analyze the extent to which the change envisaged by the 1998 Agreement in relation to policing has become a reality. Also, respond to instances where policing policies appear to behave in a way which is contrary to human rights by responding to policing policy consultations; providing technical information and advice to key stakeholders; promoting public awareness concerning accountability mechanisms in relation to the policing system; developing a strategy to engage with policing and the legacy of the past; engaging in ongoing oversight and monitoring via international human rights mechanisms; and, ensuring effective communication of CAJ s work in this area. 2008 Queen s University Belfast 01/08-12/08 Research Fellow, Institute of Irish Studies Conduct extensive research utilizing semi-structured interviews and data from the multiple deprivation index to conduct a needs analysis of the Greater Shankill Community. Also, undertake an expanded piece of research into the potential for engagement between the victims sector and republican ex-prisoner groups. 2004-2007 Coiste na niarchimí 04/04-12/07 Research Affiliate

The Processes of Nation Building (PNB) Program Conduct research into engagements between republican ex-prisoners and other sectors of Irish society including Unionists, women s groups, Catholic and Protestant Churches, trade unions, with particular responsibility for the victims sector. Undertake an extensive piece of research into the potential for engagement between republican groupings and the victims sector. 1994-2002 The University of Arizona 01/99-08/02 Program Coordinator Coordinate and develop the Gerontological Studies Program including responsibility for recruiting students, monitoring and advising on their progress, tutoring a weekly colloquium, and coordinating internship placements. Collaborate with colleagues working in student recruitment to make presentations to schools about the Program with a specific focus on recruiting minority students and those from disenfranchised communities. Develop a mentorship program for these students which included a 'peer advisor' (volunteer students in later years of the program) to help with the first year transition. In consultation with the Program Chair develop a program of work which included responsibility for the program budget involving the monitoring and reconciling of the program accounts, and reviewing and monitoring program outcomes. 02/94-01/99 Program Coordinator Program coordinator for the Arizona State Museum Archaeological Permitting Program.
