Visitor evisa Countries: Australia, Canada, the United States and Japan. The four countries accounted for 63.74% of the global demand for Brazilian tourist visas and 58.15% of the global demand for Brazilian business visas in 2016. Law nº 13.445 / 2017: The new Brazilian Migration Law comes into force on November 21, 2017 introducing the Visitor Visa, which allows for stays of up to 90 days per year and permits the realization of several unpaid activities in Brazil, such as tourism, business, participation in conferences, workshops and transit.
Visitor evisa Definition: a solution that allows the granting of visas in a short period of time, without the need to go to the Consulates, using only an electronic platform to fill out data and pay the fee.
Advantages of the new evisa Convenience: The entire visa application process, payment of the credit card fee, analysis, granting and issuing of the visa is done online (via website or mobile app), without the need to go to Brazilian Consulates. Cost: The cost of the evisa is lower than the traditional visa: USD40,00 + USD4,24 service fee. It is always an option to apply for an ordinary printed visa, which continues to be issued at Brazilian Consulates.
Advantages of the new evisa It is important to highlight that the electronic visa is valid for up to 2 years or equivalent to the date of expiry of the applicant s passport. Processing Time: the entire process for granting the visa, from the submission of the visa application and payment of the fee until receiving the evisa, is usually concluded within 5 working days.
Advantages of the new evisa Security: airlines and border authorities (Federal Police) have a wide range of tools to verify the authenticity of the visa. Productivity: The electronic visa allows the concentration of efforts and will speed up processing of other visas at Brazilian Consulates.
Steps to apply for the evisa 1) Applicants have to visit the following website: www.vfsglobal.com/brazilevisa/ or app to fill out the visa application form, upload the necessary documents and pay the fee with their credit cards; 2) VFS Global is linked to the Integrated Consular System (our consular network), responsible for the analysis and authorization of visas. 3) Brazilian consular officers analyse the application and authorize the issuance of the visa. Once this is done, VFS Global will deliver the visa;

Australia: Figures (until 05/18/2018) Canada: 10,034 visas granted, since November 21st, 2017. In April 2018, 97% of the total amount of visitor visas issued to Australian citizens were electronic. Comparatively a 52.23% increase in the amount of visas issued for the same month in 2017. Japan: 3,429 visas granted, since January 11 th, 2018. In April 2018, 40% of the total amount of visitor visas issued to Japanese citizens were electronic. Comparatively a 25.04% increase in the amount of visas issued for the same month in 2017. 5,552 visas granted, since January 18th, 2018. In April 2018, 79% of the total amount of visitor visas issued to Canadian citizens were electronic. Comparatively a 74.55% increase in the amount of visas issued for the same month in 2017. United States: 41,424 visas granted, since January 18th, 2018. In April 2018, 74.56% of the total amount of visitor visas issued to American citizens were electronic. Comparatively a 44.17% increase in the amount of visas issued for the same month in 2017.
