BONDURANT CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING Meeting No. 12-18 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant City Center on the 04th day of September, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. Present: Absent: Mayor Keith Ryan Council Member Amy Bogaards Council Member Jerry Fischer Council Member Eric Johnson Council Member Brian Lohse Council Member Curt Sullivan City Administrator Mark Arentsen Deputy City Clerk Michelle Wells City Attorney David Brick None Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Casey s General Stores, Legacy Bank and the United States Post Office on August 31, 2012. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public. Roll Call was taken and a quorum was declared. Mayor Ryan called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Ryan led the pledge of allegiance. Motion made by Council Member Bogaards, seconded by Council Member Fischer, to approve the agenda as presented. Roll Call: Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried. Motion made by Council Member Bogaards, seconded by Council Member Fischer, to approve the Consent Items consisting of the City Council Minutes of August 20, 2012; Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes of June 28, 2012, Parks and Recreation Board Minutes of May 17, and July 19, 2012, the Claims Report and Tax Abatement Application for Angela Guy, 1290 Adams Street, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. Roll Call: Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried. Polk County Sheriff s Department representative Deputy Frank Courtney had nothing to report. Mayor Ryan asked for extra patrolling around City Park. Tim Redding, 112 Alpha Street, Northwest, voiced concern pertaining to the living conditions of certain rental property in his neighborhood.

Motion made by Council Bogaards, seconded by Council Member Sullivan, to approve Resolution No. 12-155, a Resolution approving the Fourmile Creek Watershed Management Agreement between the City of Bondurant and Polk County, Story County, Boone County, City of Ankeny, City of Des Moines, City of Pleasant Hill, City of Altoona, City of Slater, City of Alleman, City of Elkhart, City of Sheldahl, Story County Soil and Water Conservation, Boone County Soil and Water Conservation District, and Polk County Soil and Water Conservation District. Roll Call: Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried. Vic Piagentini, Associated Engineering of Iowa, presented the Final Plat for Efnor Estates Plat 2. Motion made by Council Member Sullivan, seconded by Council Member Bogaards, to approve Resolution No. 12-156, a Resolution approving the Final Plat for Efnor Estates Plat 2, subject to providing the appropriate maintenance bonds and verifying payment for the street lighting. Motion made by Council Member Fischer, seconded by Council Member Lohse, to approve Resolution No. 12-157, a Resolution approving the Site Plan for Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex concession stand. Council Member Sullivan Paine Heights Storm Sewer Project costs update. Council Member Bogaards Fireman Association BBQ on September 8, and Farmer s Market Survey is on City website. Council Member Lohse As the City representative on Bravo Board, feels the City should take every advantage. Council Member Fischer No Comment.
