PUBLIC COMMENT Georgianna Reichelt addressed the Board regarding the American Legion Post located at the airport, commented on conduct at public meetings and asked about salaries and benefits for Board Members. Sheri Rizo, of the Women s Center of San Joaquin County thanked the Board for the Proclamation proclaiming October 2006 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in San Joaquin County. ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board on various matters. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS Supervisor Ornellas stated that in the recent California County September/October issue, there was an article regarding the awards for State Fair County Exhibits. San Joaquin County received the Best Use of Special Effects Award, Best Design Award and Gold Award. Supervisor Gutierrez reported on the Select San Joaquin Program. Food 4 Less, Centro Mart and El Rancho in Lodi are participating in the program. Other activities include involving schools, focusing on the wine and dairy industries, and a farmer s market for children.
