FAR-Rolling Operational Plan (ROP) MB Decision was signed November 23 rd 2016 adopting the modus operandi of the ROP for return-related needs. (Art.28.2) Launch of the FAR (Frontex Application for Return) on October 7 th 2016, to provide MS with the necessary operational reinforcements, including through technical equipment, with respect to: Relevant national return operations. Collecting Return Operations (Art. 28.3) JROs initiated by an OMS, with the aircraft and escorts provided by the destination country, picking up the returnees in a MS This model of CJROs is based on MS experience with collecting national return operations elevation to EU level Destinations: Georgia, Albania, Serbia. Planned: FYROM, Kosovo, Ukraine Identified benefits: Financial: lower cost for the OMS and PMS Operational: shorter, fully approved cases, no landing permit work, same language - less incidents Other: higher acceptance, sharing of best practices, raising awareness and respect of fundamental rights Recommendations: HR monitor, Frontex and OMS/PMS representatives should always be on board 15
