2. It is recommended that the Board of Education appoint Thom Davis as acting Board of Education President for the Organizational Meeting. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following asset disposal requests: Kitchen Stove #0226 (from primary building) Glencoe Life Science 1999 Textbooks Glencoe Earth Science 1995 Textbooks World Book 1960 & 1957 4. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Resolution of necessity to levy a tax for the Emergency Requirements of the School District. RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENT TO PROCEED WITH ELECTION OF THE QUESTION OF AN EMERGENCY TAX LEVY (Ohio Revised Code Sections 5705.194-5705.197) WHEREAS, on November 22, 2011, the Board passed a resolution declaring the necessity, in order to provide for the emergency requirements of the School District, to levy a tax in excess of the ten-mill limitation, to raise the amount of $475,000.00 for each year that said levy is in effect, for a period of five years; and WHEREAS, the Scioto County Auditor has certified to the Board that an estimated annual levy of seven (7.0) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which is $0.70 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, will be required to produce the annual amount set forth in the resolution of November 22, 2011. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the Green Local School District, Scioto County, Ohio, a majority of the members of the Board concurring, that: Section 1. The Board desires to proceed with the submission of the question to the electors of the School District. Section 2. The question of the emergency tax levy shall be submitted to the electors of the School District at the election currently scheduled for March 6, 2012 (the Election Date ). Section 3. The form of the ballot to be used at said election shall be substantially as follows: Shall a levy be imposed by the Green Local School District, Scioto County, Ohio for the purpose of PROVIDING FOR THE EMERGENCY REQUIRMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT in the sum of four hundred thousand seventy five dollars ($475,000.00) and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average seven (7.0) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to seventy cents ($0.70) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

FOR THE TAX LEVY AGAINST THE TAX LEVY Section 4. The Treasurer of the Board is hereby directed and shall certify, not later than December 7, 2011 (which date is not less than 90 days prior to the Election Date), to the Scioto County Board of Elections a copy of the resolution of November 22, 2011 and a copy of this resolution together with the amount of the average tax levy, expressed in dollars and cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation as well as in mills for each one dollar of valuation, as estimated by the Scioto County Auditor. Section 5. The Treasurer of the Board is hereby directed and shall simultaneously certify to the Scioto County Board of Elections that the number of years the levy is to run will be five, and that the levy will include a levy on the current year s tax list if approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon. Section 6. It is hereby found and determined that all formal action of this Board concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting of this Board, and that all meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 5. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Title I School/Parent Compact for the 2011-2012 school year. 6. It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt a policy pursuant to Sec. 3313.603 (L) that will permit a Green High School student to fulfill the State of Ohio Department of Education physical education requirement by completing two full seasons of participation during high school in boardapproved interscholastic athletics and/or marching band, including flag corps, and/or cheerleading. 7. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Service Learning Class field trip to the Ashland Town Center on December 16, 2011.

8. It is recommended that the Board of Education employ Krystal Hill for Title VI transportation. VIII. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC-- Limited to 5 minutes per topic XI.
