Page 1 July 13, 2013 at Manistique Lakes Lions Club at the Erickson Center in Curtis, MI. Meeting called to order at 10:00 am by IPDG Ruth Snyder. Pledge and Invocation-The pledge of allegiance to the American Flag was led by IPDG Snyder and the Invocation was delivered by IPDG Snyder. PDG Bob Miller was appointed Tail Twister for this meeting; motion by PDG Lion George Kelly, supported by PDG Lion Jenny Ware to donate $150.00 to Northwoods Air Lifeline. IPDG Snyder presented awards to her 2012-13 Cabinet (a license plate and To Be a Lion banner). DG Jerry Stephens presented pins to this year s Cabinet. PDG George Kelly wanted to welcome all to Curtis and the Erickson Center and he introduced us to Manistique Lakes Lions club President John Norris. Roll Call and Introductions- Roll call was taken per sign in sheet: SD 10 Cabinet members present: DG Jerry Stephens, IPDG Ruth Snyder, 1st VDG Bill Rowe, 2 nd VDG Tom Lanaville and Secretary Joe Maki, SD 10 Cabinet members excused: Treasurer Bruce La Belle, PDG s present: PDG s George Kelly, Dr. Sara Doubledee, Duane Goltz, Bob St. Peter, Chuck Nicklas, Larry Klaus, Bob Miller and Jenny Ware. SD 10 Lions present: Lions Gary Aderman, Judy Davis, Carolyn St. Juliana, John Crady, Jim Whalen, Joe Pokladowski, Kris Rowe, Jane Lanaville, Andrea Osborn,

Page 2 Roll Call and Introductions- CONTINUED SD 10 Lions present: Lions Art Anderson, Judie Goltz, Bernadette Haeusler, Dayna King, Bill Munsell, Elmer Moisio, Karen Stroobants, and Matt Doney. Motion by PDG Doubledee, supported by 2 nd VDG Lanaville that DG Stephens allow Committee Chairs to vote today and unanimously approved. Approval of Agenda- Motion to approve by PDG Lion Duane Goltz, supported by PDG Lion Klaus and unanimously approved. Approval of Minutes-Motion to approve by PDG Lion Miller, supported by PDG Lion Klaus and unanimously approved. District Governor s Report-DG Stephens gave a short oral report emphasizing: rotation of SD 10 Committee Chairs with a Co-chair to take over with an emphasis on computer-literacy skills, recruiting Candidates for Governor training thru the established protocol, trying to re-establish the Marquette Township Lions club, try to start planning for an eventual annual district-wide Membership Drive and strengthen Lions Clubs in SD 10. 1 st Vice District Governor s Report- An oral report was given and was supplemented by a written report and attached to these minutes. 2nd Vice District Governor s Report- An oral report was given and was supplemented by a written report and attached to these minutes. Financial Report- An oral report was given and was supplemented by a written report and attached to these minutes. Motion to approve by Munsell, supported by PDG Kelly and unanimously approved.

Region 3/Zone 1- Lion Matt Doney- An oral report was given. Region 3/Zone 2- Lion Joe Pokladowski- No report. Region 4/Zone 1- Lion Bruce La Belle- No report but clubs have been contacted per DG Stephens. Region 4/Zone 2- Lion Jim Whalen- An oral report was given. Region 5/Zone 1- Lion Judy Goltz- An oral report was given. Region 5/Zone 2- Lion Andrea Osborn- No report. Single District 10 Committees Reports: Global Leadership Team SD 10 (PDG Lion Dr. Sara Doubledee)- A written report was submitted and is attached to these minutes. Global Membership Team Coordinator SD 10 & Liaison (PDG Lion Don Myers)- No report. DG Stephens reported that the above two (2) committees may need replacements next year and PDG Doubledee reported that she will work one (1) year with a replacement. Certified Guiding Lions (PDG Lion Don Wojakowski)- A written report was submitted and is attached to these minutes.

Lions Club International Foundation/LCIF (Lions Joe Baczkowski and PDG Lion James Wash)- An oral report was given by 2 nd VDG Lanaville (PDG Lion Bill Whippen will be inducted in to the Lions of Michigan Hall of Fame by 2 nd DG Lanaville) and was supplemented by a written report which is attached to these minutes. Michigan Eye Bank and Transplantation Center (Lion Bill Munsell)- An oral report was given. Northwood s Air Life Line (Lion Karen Stroobants and PDG Lion George Kelly)- An oral report was given and was supplemented by a written report which is attached to these minutes. Information Technology (Lions Bruce La Belle and Dayna King)- An oral report was given (several ideas for software support of the SD 10 website were given/by show of hands many SD 10 Lions use the website). International Understanding and Cooperation (PDG Lion Bob Miller)- An oral report was given. Leader Dogs (PDG Lion Gary Klop)- An oral report was given and was supplemented by a written report which is attached to these minutes. 4 Liberty Day (Lions Menzo & Sandy Caswell)- No report.
