COUNTY CLERK 1-6A-1: 1-6A-2: 1-6A-3: Office Established; Election And Term s Duties 1-6A-1: OFFICE ESTABLISHED; ELECTION AND TERM: There is hereby established the office of the county clerk who shall be ex officio auditor and recorder and ex officio clerk of the board of county commissioners. The county clerk shall be elected by the qualified voters of the county at the time and in the manner prescribed by law for the election of members of the legislature and shall hold office for a term of four (4) years. (2003 Code) 1-6A-2: BONDS: A. County Clerk: The county clerk shall execute an official surety bond or, in lieu thereof, the county shall provide suitable crime insurance, as provided in Idaho Code section 59-804. The county clerk may require a bond from any deputy clerk. B. County Clerk/Recorder: The county clerk/recorder shall execute an official surety bond or, in lieu thereof, the county shall provide suitable crime insurance, as provided in Idaho Code section 59-804. COUNTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY 1-6D-1: 1-6D-2: 1-6D-3: 1-6D-4: Qualifications Powers and Duties 1-6D-1: hereby established the office of county prosecuting attorney who shall be elected for a term of four (4) years as provided by law. (2003 Code) 1-6D-2: QUALIFICATIONS: No person shall be elected to the office of prosecuting attorney, unless he has attained the age of twenty one (21) years at the time of his election, is admitted to the practice of law within this state, is a citizen of the United States and a qualified elector within the county. (2003 Code) 1-6D-3: BOND: The county prosecuting attorney shall execute an official surety bond or, in lieu thereof, the county shall provide suitable crime insurance, as provided in Idaho Code section 59-804. (2003 Code) 1-6D-4: POWERS AND DUTIES: The county prosecuting attorney shall have those powers and duties set out in Idaho Code, title 31, chapter 26, as amended. (2003 Code)
