End violence against children 16.2 End abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against and torture of children 5.2 Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in public and private spheres, including trafficking, and sexual and other types of exploitation 5.3 Eliminate all harmful practices, such as child, early and forced marriage, and female genital mutilation 8.7 Elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including slavery, human trafficking, and recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms 4.a Provide safe, non-violent, inclusive, and effective learning environments for all 4.7 Ensure that all learners acquire knowledge [for] promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence

Strategy 6 - What is End Violence?
VISION Strategy A world in which every child grows up free from violence. MISSION To make societies safer for children and end violence against children everywhere. PRINCIPLES Rights Focused Child Centered Universal Gender Sensitive Inclusive Transparent Evidence Based Result Oriented Goal 1: BUILD POLITICAL WILL Goal 2: ACCELERATE ACTION Goal 3: STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION 1.1 All countries commit to action to end violence against all children. 1.2 Violence against children and the actions needed to prevent them is part of national, regional and global discourse. 1.3 All countries see an increase in finances put towards ending violence and exploitation in all settings. 2.1 All countries adopt national legislation, policies and programmes to protect children from violence and exploitation, including online violence. 2.2 Pathfinder countries provide increased access for children to comprehensive, coordinated and multi-sectoral services. 2.3 Children affected by violence, including those in conflict settings and on the move, can access child centered services and programs. 3.1 Support platforms for sustained transnational action and learning. 3.2 Serve as the global forum to facilitate and accelerate learning and mutual accountability, make recommendations for standard setting and report on progress. 3.3 Generate and disseminate knowledge, evidence and data. Goals 2 Accelerate Action The Partnership will work with partners to accelerate action to tackle the violence that children face, with a focus on pathfinder countries who wish to lead the movement to end violence. 2.1 All countries adopt national legislation, policies and programmes to protect children from violence and exploitation, including online violence. 2.2 Pathfinder countries provide increased access for children ro comprehensive, coordinated and multi-sectoral services. 2.3 Children affected by violence, including those in conflict settings and on the move, can access child centred services and programmes. 9 - Goals
Goals 3 Strengthen Collaboration The Partnership will strengthen collaboration among and between countries, and with civil society and other stakeholders, confronting shared threats and developing shared solutions. 3.1 Support platforms for sustained transnational action and learning. 3.2 Serve as the global forum to facilitate and accelerate learning and mutual accountability, make recommendations for standard setting and report on progress. 3.3 Generate and disseminate knowledge, evidence and data. 10 - Goals
Goal 2 Accelerated Action Country-Level Engagement The strategy envisages that a group of pathfinding countries will make a central contribution to the partnership, based on their wish to be leaders in ending violence against children and delivering SDG16.2 and related targets. Goal 2 Accelerated Action Country-Level Engagement The Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children will support governments that have demonstrated a strong commitment to accelerating efforts to make children safe and are focused on solutions. We term these Pathfinding countries. Pathfinding countries within the Partnership will receive technical support to execute a whole-ofgovernment approach to violence prevention. This will involve development of a road map for implementation of the package of evidence-based solutions, and a national commitment to increased financing. A number of countries have already initiated steps toward being Pathfinding. These countries will commit to confront the many factors that leave children vulnerable to violence, and will help to build a global network of champions needed to make our societies safer for children. By pioneering new approaches to delivering on SDG16.2 and other violence related targets, countries will form platforms with all sectors of society to prevent violence against children. 12 - Country-Level Engagement

Partnership Becoming a Member
Membership Organizations interested in applying for membership must be committed to ending violence against children, in accordance with the Partnership s vision, mission and principles. Only institutions, not individuals, may apply for membership. Governments* UN agencies Civil society, including faith groups and those directly engaging children Private sector Philanthropic foundations Academia Others (i.e. alliances, regional bodies, etc.) Children* 17 - Membership
Benefits of Membership Leveraging each other s work and contributing to ending violence through collaborative and multisectoral action; Shaping the agenda of the partnership, take on specific work on behalf of it, and directly contributing to achieving its goals and objectives; Exchanging lessons learned and showcasing best practices through events and networking, access to a directory of partners, joint advocacy initiatives, and periodic updates; Accessing resources related to the Partnership s work. 18 - Membership
Criteria for becoming a Member Be active and invest in the prevention of and response to violence against children; Be committed to collective and collaborative action to ending violence against children; Endorse the vision, mission and principles of the Partnership, as reflected in its strategy; Be committed to implementing multi-sectoral, multi-constituency action plans; invest own resources and capacities to pursue initiatives to end violence against children. 19 - Membership
Once accepted a member is expected to: Promote and advocate for the Partnership; Contribute directly or indirectly to one or more goals in the Partnership s strategy, namely to build political will, promote solutions, accelerate action or strengthen collaboration; Participate in communication networks and build relationships with constituency partners, globally, regionally and nationally, as appropriate; contribute time, effort and/or resources to planning and implementing the Partnership s activities at global, regional or national level. I.e. alignment of programmes and interventions to accelerate action at country level, direct funding and/or inkind contributions including technical expertise, assistance with media or networking and support for other partners attendance at fora. 20 - Goals
Collaboration Global Partnership & VPA At global level Become member of each other and invite individual members to apply Commit to contribute towards the objectives of the partnership through identification of concrete activities via the call to action (details to be worked out as of yet) Contribute towards the identification of evidenced based interventions that are effective in preventing violence against children (solutions summit + INSPIRE implementation package) 21 - Collaboration
