1) Call to Order P.M. Brother Haywood will always be remembered as an integral part of GSU, a solid unionist, and friend to many. GSU National Council Meeting January 24, 2018 page 1

2) Approval of Agenda Linda Harding / Martine Babcook That the agenda be adopted as presented. (Appendix A ) MOTION CARRIED. 3) Approval of Previous Minutes a) National Council Conference Call of November 17, 2017 Shanny Doucet / Linda Harding That the minutes of the conference call of November 17, 2017 be approved. Recorded vote # 1. MOTION CARRIED. 4) Appointment of Auditors 2018 Kelly Bush / Nicole Rousseau Motion: F2/2018 Subject: Motion for the Appointment of Auditors Originator: Finance Committee to National Council January 24, 2018 The Committee recommends the adoption of engaging the services of Andrews & Co. Chartered Professional Accountants for the December 31, 2017 Financial audit. Recorded vote # 2. MOTION CARRIED. 5) Approved Triennial Budget 2018-2019-2020 The Triennial Budget 2018-2019-2020 was distributed to National Council for their information purposes. 6) Local Presidents Conference 2018 Daniel Charron / Bruce Roy That a costing be provided for the location to have the next Local Presidents Conference in 2018 in Ottawa/Gatineau, Montreal or Winnipeg. Recorded vote # 3. MOTION CARRIED. 7) Round Table / Discussion The meeting ended with a round table discussion. Sister Walton: She stated that she will follow-up with the Regional Vice-Presidents to ensure that the RVPs have a good understanding of their roles. Sister Walton also advised National Council that she received a scholarship to attend Labour College and that she really enjoys it. GSU National Council Meeting January 24, 2018 page 2

Brother Charron: He provided an update on Collective Bargaining and thanked the Collective Bargaining committee for their hard work. The proposals have been submitted to the PSAC. Brother Cunning: He expressed concerns regarding the form letter on Union Leave that the PSAC negotiated with Treasury Board. Brother Roy: He wanted to know when the GSU Committees were going to meet. Brother Howard indicated that they could communicate by conference calls. Brother Ladouceur: As a newly elected RVP, this is the first time that Brother Ladouceur attended an NC meeting. He thanked everyone and stated that it was a very good meeting and enjoyed meeting everyone. Brother Walsh: He presented the following motion: Bill Walsh / Martine Babcook In memory of the passing of Brother Haywood, that a donation in the amount of $200 each be made to Our Times and to Labour Start. Recorded vote # 4. MOTION CARRIED. Brother Howard: He thanked the staff and everyone involved for a job well done. 8) Adjournment Bill Walsh / Linda Harding The meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m. Motion Carried.
