At this NO-STRESS event for Teens in grades 6-12, Alex London, author of Proxy and Guardian, will speak about the hopeful nature of YA dystopian literature, its impact on Teens, why it has remained popular, and how his novels were inspired by his experiences as a journalist in refugee camps. Each committee member was asked to submit their five (5) favorites. Thirteen (13) titles were discussed at the meeting to select the five (5) books for the award ballot. The ballot will be sent out to the Youth Services division of the Pennsylvania Library Association to select the Award Winner!
