CONTACT: DAVID MASON 705-635-2927 dmason@genau.ca Hiking Club I Hop The objective of completing a hike from the Rainy entrance of the park, near Kearney, and Arowhon Road, near West Gate, along the abandoned railway bed was completed in October. This is a distance of approximately 22.5 km. However, there is a discontinuity in the railway trail that is not shown on the maps, and apparently, not entirely realised by Park staff. Consequently this objective was accomplished in two hikes, doubling back to one car on both days, Oct 6-14 kms and Oct 23-31 kms. For 2016, our idea is to plan several hikes ranging from 5km to 31km in order to capture the interest of a large number of Probus members (particularly those who groaned at doing 30km per day ). We will be sending out suggestions early this year and we look forward to receiving further ideas from all those who would like to be involved Duplicate Bridge CONTACT: BERYL CLAYSON 705-789-5510 clayson@cogeco.ca Probus duplicate bridge meets at the Clayson s on the 4th Monday of each month. 1:00 pm October to April 7:00 pm May to September In order for Beryl and Paul to prepare, please contact them at least a day before the date, if you wish to play. Although there are about 30 regular members, we can still use a few more, especially couples. 4
