HORTONVILLE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULAR OPEN SESSION MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2015 1. The Board of Education Open Session was called to order by President Paul Thome at 7:03 p.m. Board members present for roll call: Mr. Craig Dreier, Mrs. Dana Ramshak, Mr. Willard Griesbach, Mr. Bob VanDenElzen, Mrs. Varsha Shah and Mr. Dave Schlichting 2. President Thome confirmed that the public was given notice of the meeting by postings at Greenville Elementary, Hortonville Elementary, North Greenville Elementary, Greenville Middle, Hortonville Middle and Hortonville High Schools, Hortonville Public Library, Greenville Town Hall and the District website (www.hasd.org). Notice of the meeting and agenda was also sent to the Appleton Post Crescent and Press Star. 3. Pledge of Allegiance led by President Thome. 4. Mrs. Dana Ramshak made a motion to approve the Open Session Minutes of August 24, 2015; Mr. Willard Griesbach seconded the motion; roll call vote; motion carried. Mr. Dave Schlichting and Mrs. Varsha Shah abstained. 5. Mr. Craig Dreier made a motion to approve the following vouchers, Mr. Dave Schlichting seconded the motion, unanimous by roll call vote; motion carried: Regular Vouchers - #31097 - #31230 Building Project Vouchers - None ACH/Employee Reimbursement Vouchers - #151600015 - #151600045 6. Presentations by District Residents / Comments from Public None 7. Mr. Craig Dreier made a motion to approve the recognitions; Mr. Dave Schlichting seconded the motion; unanimous roll call vote; motion carried: Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, along with the Green Bay Packers, selected the Hortonville Area School District to receive a $15,000 Hometown Grant. Funds to be distributed to schools for the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program. A visit from the Green Bay Packers will be made in November. Greenville Elementary School Student Council, under the direction of Paula LeMere and Amy Zdanovec, raised $325.60 to donate to the local organization Families of Children with Cancer. 8. Special Presentations Grants for Excellence NGES Tablets in the Classroom Barb Wilhelms moved to September 29, 2015 (technical problems)
9. District Administrator s Report- Dr. Schmidt updated the Board on the 2015-2016 Projected Enrollment. Continuing to watch GES 1 st Grade, NGES 4 th Grade, and HMS 7 th Grade. 10.
