CALL TO ORDER ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION The Regular Meeting of the Orange County Board of Education was called to order at 8:02 a.m. June 13, 2013, in the Board Room, 200 Kalmus, Costa Mesa, California. B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jack Hammett, former Costa Mesa mayor. C. ROLL CALL Present: Jack Bedell, Ph.D. David L. Boyd Elizabeth Parker Ken L. Williams, Jr., D.O. Absent: Robert Hammond D. INTRODUCTIONS None today. E. AGENDA Motion by Parker, seconded by Bedell, and carried by a vote of 4-0 (Hammond absent) to adopt the Agenda for the Regular Meeting on June 13, 2013 with the removal of G-5 per request of petitioner. F. MINUTES Motion by Bedell, seconded by Parker, and carried by a vote of 4-0 (Hammond absent) to approve the Minutes from the May 16, 2013 Board Meeting. H. SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS Resolution 15-13 J-2 Motion by Parker, seconded by Boyd, and carried by a roll-call vote of 5-0 to adopt Resolution #15-13 to comply with Article XIII, Section 36 of the California Constitution and the Education Protection Account requirements including board approval of the 2013-2014 budgeted expenditure report that is attached, during an open session of a public meeting. Resolution 16-13 J-3 Motion by Bedell, seconded by Williams, and carried by a rollcall vote of 4-0-1 (Parker abstained) to adopt Resolution #16-13 Honoring Memorial Day with a request to revise the current Memorial Day date of May 27, 2013 by the future date of May 26, 2014. Motion was carried without dissent. L.
