Discussion will be informed by both a scientific publication as well as on two short documentaries produced in june 2014. It herewith seeks to (1) make the policy implications drawing from recent research more tangible and (2) provide the research community with a rapid and targeted feedback by the policy actors working in their field of academic inquiry. Its overarching aim is to improve policy making by fostering suggestions based on academic research and effective dialogue among a limited number of participants hailing from the policy making, research and/ or civil society communities. This roundtable - organised after the research efforts - is rooted in accomplished original research on the international dimension of the Eurozone crisis and on the European Union s consequent positioning within transnational governance networks. It endeavours to expand on research findings and thus strenghten their integrity while contributing towards its dissemination to relevant audiences. Discussions will be based on a background note summarizing the main conclusions of the above mentioned research. CHAIR Pr.
