Proposal writing to Bay Area Foundations and National Postdoctoral Fellow, National Institute on Aging, UC Berkeley (January to June 1999) Simulated the African-American population with an eye towards future family structure and the implications for the elderly and children. Intern, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (Summer 1995) Co-authored The Demography of Out of Wedlock Childbearing and prepared report on NICHD s AIDS research. Research Analyst, SRI International (1992-1995) Evaluated teen parenting programs, a California school services program (Healthy Start) and a federal job-training program (JTPA). Evaluations included instrument development, interviews, focus groups, and case study analysis.
