The General Situation of Chinese Textile Industry in 2012 Since 2012, under the influence of sluggish external demand, the slowing domestic demand and the widen price gap between the domestic and foreign cotton market, China s textile industry continues the trend of slowing economic growth in the last year and the major economic indicators, such as production, export and investment, etc., keep increasing slowly. Now, the textile industry continues to take active action in response to the external risks by deepening the structural reforms and strengthening the industry self-regulation. Meanwhile, they also expect the support of relevant national policies to help the textile industry back to the steady and healthy development track as soon as possible. 2.
