Until DB signs and CR returns the papers to the bank, CR and TH are still the names on the accounts. - CR will orient VB to the treasurer's position at a future date - CR will pay AANP Group membership fee (Annual membership expo 2/28/15) - CR will contact the Internal Revenue Service [re: IRC 501 (c)(6)status] to report new contact information, VB, Secretary- Treasurer. 4. Care for Pennsylvania Campaign: Discussion regarding the reintroduction of the 2013~2014 Senate Bill 1063, which never got out of committee. Bill regarding Full Practice Authority for NPs. -DB and Ann Schlimm are the Campaign Coordinators for our region and will participate in the first conference call on 1/28/15. New 1revised legislation to be introduced in both the PA House (Reps Jesse Topper and Thomas Murt) and Senate (Senator Pat Vance). Wait to speak to your local reps until the new bills are written reference. and we have the bill numbers for -DB is making plans to have several members meet with local State Reps. 6. Regional Rep. report. 8. National AANP Conference: June 9-14 New Orleans. One board member, executive staff member or NP program director can receive a complimentary registration for the conference. Who will attend? -DB is already planning to attend as he won a registration by virtue of his recent award from AANP: The NP State Award for Excellence, which is given annually to an individual NP in each state who has demonstrated excellence in NP clinical practice. Congratulations, Don! 9. Bylaws-VB will acquire current digital copy from CR, post to PCNP website and forward to DB. DB will solicit comments from membership for revision. Discussion to follow at next meeting. 10. Spring Conference: Committee DB, CH, JR, LM, CH and others. We are sponsoring this in conjunction with NPASP,see below. -Registration is $65. Maximum about 150 attendees/venue. Breakfast and Lunch provided. -JR has set up a Google account (npnpaorg@gmail.com) account, and a PayPal linked to our checking account, so that people can register with credit card.
