Official Call for a Mass Meeting of the Augusta County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia As Chairman of the Augusta County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Ken Elkins, do hereby issue this notice and call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia 24482, starting at 10:00 am local time on Saturday, March 3, 2018 for the following purposes: 1. Elect a chairman of the Augusta County Republican Committee. 2. Elect members of the Augusta County Republican Committee. 3. Elect Delegates and Alternates to represent the Augusta County Republican Committee at the Republican 6th Congressional District Convention which shall be held on May 19, 2018, at the JMU Convocation Center, 895 University Boulevard, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22807, starting at 10:00 am local time. At the Convention, the Delegates will elect a Chairman for the Republican 6th Congressional District Committee, elect three Regional Vice-Chairmen of the Republican 6th Congressional District Committee, and nominate a Republican candidate for the US House of Representatives. The Augusta County Committee shall have a maximum of 2,170 Delegates and 2,170 Alternates. 4. Transact such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting. Qualifications for Participation All legal and qualified voters of Augusta County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may

participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts. Filing Requirements Those persons who are Candidates for election as Committee Chairman are required to file the attached form, which is a written statement of intent, by US Mail, to the Augusta County Republican Committee, Post Office Box 430 in Verona, Virginia 24482. The form must be received in the Committee s Post Office Box no later than 5:00 PM local time, Thursday, February 01, 2018. Postmarks do not govern. Those persons who are Candidates for election as Members of the Augusta County Republican Committee, or, Delegates to the 6th Congressional District are required to file the appropriate attached form, which is a written statement of such intent, by US Mail to the Augusta County Republican Committee, Post Office Box 430 in Verona, Virginia 24482. The form must be received in the Committee's Post Office Box no later than 5:00 PM local time, February 23rd, 2018. Postmarks do not govern. Pre-filing Fee for the Office of Chairman of the Augusta County Republican Committee All Candidates for the office of Chairman of the Augusta County Republican Committee are required to pay a fee of $ 300.00. The fee must be enclosed with the Pre-Filing Form for the office and is not refundable. Pre-Filing Fee (Registration Fee) for Mass Meeting There will not be any Fees charged for Pre-Filing for the Mass Meeting on March 3rd, 2018. Pre-Filing Fee as Delegate/Alternate for the District Convention There will not be any Fees charged for Pre-Filing as a Delegate/Alternate for the 6th District Convention. To help defray the costs of holding the 6th Congressional District Convention, the 6th District Committee has established a voluntary registration fee of $20.00 for each person filing for election as a Delegate or Alternate to the District Convention. Failure to pay the voluntary $20.00 fee will not result in "voiding" your Pre-Filing Form.

What happens if the number of persons who pre-file to be Committee Chairman, Committee Members, Convention Delegates/ Convention Alternates does not exceed the maximum allowable number If only one person pre-files to be Committee Chairman, then that person shall be declared elected. All persons who pre-file to be Committee Members shall be declared elected. If the number of persons who pre-file to be Delegates and Alternates does not exceed 2,170 Delegates and 2,170 Alternates, then all those who pre-filed shall be declared elected. If the Committee Chairman is declared elected and if the Committee Members are declared elected and if the Convention Delegates and Alternates are declared elected, then the Mass Meeting shall be cancelled. Beginning on February 5th, 2018, a status report on Pre-Filing Forms results, and the scheduled Mass Meeting, will be posted on the website of the Augusta County Republican Committee (Augustavagop.com)... Proper Notice The Call for this Mass Meeting shall be published on January 24, 2018 on the websites of the Republican Party of Virginia, the Sixth Congressional District Committee and the Augusta County Republican Committee. Copies of the Call were sent via email to all members of the Augusta County Republican Committee and the Chairman of the 6th District Committee. This Call is Paid for and Authorized by the Augusta County Republican Committee.
