The District Attorney of the County of San Bernardino, by this Information alleges that: COUNT 1 On or about January 10, 2005, in the above named judicial district, the crime of MURDER, in violation of PENAL CODE SECTION 187(a, a felony, was committed by Jon Christopher Blaylock, who did unlawfully, and with malice aforethought murder Manuel Gonzalez Jr, a human being. "NOTICE: The above offense is a serious felony within the meaning of Penal Code section 1192.7(c and a violent felony within the meaning of Penal Code section 667.5(c." "NOTICE: Conviction of this offense will require you to provide specimens and samples pursuant to Penal Code section 296. Willful refusal to provide the specimens and samples is a crime." It is further alleged, as to count(s 1 that the murder of Manuel Gonzalez Jr was committed by defendant(s Jon Christopher Blaylock and that Manuel Gonzalez Jr was a peace officer who was intentionally killed while engaged in the performance of his/her duties, and that said defendant(s knew and reasonably should have known that Manuel Gonzalez Jr was a peace officer engaged in the performance of his/her duties, within the meaning of Penal Code Section 190.2(a(7. It is further alleged as to count(s 1, 2 that in the commission and attempted commission of the above offense, the said defendant(s Jon Christopher Blaylock, personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon(s, to wit, Knife, said use not being an element of the above offense, within the meaning of Penal Code Section 12022(b(1 and causing the above offense to be a serious felony within the meaning of Penal Code section 1192.7(c(23. ***** Page 2

COUNT 2 On or about January 10, 2005, in the above named judicial district, the crime of ASSAULT BY A LIFE PRISONER, in violation of PENAL CODE SECTION 4500, a felony, was committed by Jon Christopher Blaylock, who did unlawfully and with malice aforethought, assault Manuel Gonzalez Jr with a deadly weapon and by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury while undergoing a life sentence in the California State Prison, San Bernardino County, in violation of Penal Code section 4500 and 190.3. It is further alleged as to count(s 1, 2 that said defendant(s Jon Christopher Blaylock, was on and about the 20TH day of April, 1990, in the Superior Court of the State of California, for the County of Los Angeles, convicted of a violent felony, to wit: Robbery in violation of Section 211 of the Penal Code, PA002155 that he/she then served a separate term in state prison for said offense, and that he/she did not remain free of prison custody for, and did commit an offense resulting in a felony conviction during a period of ten years subsequent to the conclusion of said term, within the meaning of Penal Code Section 667.5(a. It is further alleged as to count(s 1, 2 that said defendant(s Jon Christopher Blaylock, was on and about the 13th day of July, 1993, in the Superior Court of the State of California, for the County of Los Angeles, convicted of a violent felony, to wit: Robbery in violation of Section 211 of the Penal Code, TA023157 that he/she then served a separate term in state prison for said offense, and that he/she did not remain free of prison custody for, and did commit an offense resulting in a felony conviction during a period of ten years subsequent to the conclusion of said term, within the meaning of Penal Code Section 667.5(a. It is further alleged as to count(s 1, 2 that said defendant(s Jon Christopher Blaylock, was on and about the 2nd day of June, 2004, in the Superior Court of the State of California, for the County of Los Angeles, convicted of a violent felony, to wit: Attempt Murder in violation of Section 664/187 of the Penal Code, YA052654 that he/she then served a separate term in state prison for said offense, and that he/she did not remain free of prison custody for, and did commit an offense resulting in a felony conviction during a period of ten years subsequent to the conclusion of said term, within the meaning of Penal Code Section 667.5(a. * * * * * NOTICE TO DEFENDANT AND DEFENDANT S ATTORNEY Pursuant to Penal Code Sections 1054.5.(b, the People are hereby informally requesting that defense counsel provide discovery to the People as required by Penal Code Section 1054.3.
