mock Election In my family, the rule of thumb is We don t talk POLITICS. If you feel the same way about your classroom, I don't blame you. I feel like I need to be very careful. Who wants an annoyed parent? Right? You can run a mock election without talking about the real candidates. Get your hands on a copy of the book Duck For President. After reading it to your students, run a mock election in your classroom. For a mock election in your classroom: Read the Voting fluency page Register to vote as a member of the farm Look at the candidates pictures Do a secret ballot vote Count the ballots Graph the outcome of the election. +
