Exhibition Rules Clause 1 DATE AND DURATION OF THE EXHIBITION The exhibition in connection with the CIPP VIII will be held at the Acropolis Convention center (Nice, France) from March 29th to 31st, 2008. Clause 2 ADMISSION Application shall be examined by the local Organizing Committee which decides whether they shall be accepted or rejected. The Committee not being required to give the grounds upon which the decision has been made. No application shall be considered until the enclosed registration form has been received, signed by a person regarded as qualified to commit the applicant company and after receipt of the first installment. Clause 3 RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF EXHIBITORS Application implies submitting to the provisions of the present regulations as well as to police regulations tha are likely to be ordained by public authorities or by the Local Organizing Committee. Any violation of the present regulations shall result in the immediate loss of the right to take part in the exhibition, with no compensation or refunding of the monies paid and without prejudice to any legal action that is likely to be taken against the exhibitor. Through his application, an exhibitor takes a definitive and irrevocable commitment to occupy the space allocated to him and keep it fitted until the date and time of the closure of the exhibition. In case of cancellation on account of an exhibitor, the monies paid shall not be refunded. Payment of total amount will be due should cancellation occur after September 30, 2007. Exhibitors are not allowed to present on their respective spaces anything but the equipment, products or services listed in their application and accepted by the Local Organizing Committee. Advertising in any form for non exhibitors and sub-renting all or part of the space are prohibited. Clause 4 RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE The Local Organizing Committee is not responsible for any damage (including disturbance of possession and commercial prejudices) that may be, including delay in opening and premature closing of the exhibition, the closing or destruction of stands, fires and other accidents. In case of cancellation of the exhibition due to Force majeure the monies remaining available after deduction of expenses incurred by the Local Organizing Committee, shall be distributed among the exhibitors in proportion to the amount paid by each and the exhibitors will have no claim whatever against the Local Organizing Committee. The Local Organizing committee shall allocate spaces taking into account whenever possible, the wishes of the exhibitors. The Committee will be able to alter the size and the location of the spaces applied for at any time. The Local Organizing Committee reserves the right to allocate to another company the spaces that shall not have been occupied the day before the opening of the exhibition. Exhibitors who fail to show up shall not be entitled to demand the refunding of the monies they paid or any compensation whatsoever. Clause 5 PAYMENT Applications have to come with a first installment representing the handling fees and a deposit payment of 50 % of the space reserved. Another payment amounting to 30 % of the rent of the reserved space has to be made before September 30, 2007, and the balance before December 31, 2007. Applications made between September 30, 2007 and December 31st, 2007 shall have to come with a first installment representing the handling fees and 80 % of the rent of the reserved space, the balance being due before December 31st, 2007. Applications made after December 31, 2007, shall to come with the payment of the handling fees and the full amount of the rent of the reserved space. Clause 6 POSTING SIGNS Advertising panels or signs are prohibited outside the space allocated to exhibitors. Should this rule be broken, the Local Organizing Committee shall have the panels removed, without prior warning, at the violator's expenses and risks. Clause 7 DAMAGE AND INSURANCE Exhibitors shall forget any legal action against the Local Organizing Committee and its authorized agents. They shall pledge to take out an insurance policy covering risks for the exhibited and installed equipment and civil liability. Clause 8 EXHIBITOR'S FILES A technical guide shall be provided to each exhibitor as soon as his application is accepted by the Local Organizing Committee. The document will include: the different space possibilities offered, the different services available (electrical works, telephones, furniture renting, plants, audio-visual equipment, etc...), safety rules to be followed in settinbg up the stands, additional information regarding the conference and the exhibition, forms for badges, dates and times of assembling and dismantling of boothes. Clause 9 LITIGATION Any litigation that may occur between the Local Organizing Committee and exhibitors shall be settled according to French current laws. The Nice Court shall be the sole court regarded in any possible litigation. Participation to the CIPP VIII Congress automatically involves acceptance of the present rules.
