2. San Jose Mineta International Airport Public Art Program. (Economic Development) Consider the Arts Commission's recommendation on the San Jose Mineta International Airport Public Art Program and take possible action to approve to forward a recommendation to the full City Council to: (a) Allocate $200,000 towards a permanent artwork to be located at Terminal B at the San Jose Mineta International Airport Public Art Program. (b) Amend Ordinance No. 28762 decoupling future public art funding from the 12.2 million passenger trigger and allow for public art funding as part of future airport capital improvement projects with a threshold as negotiated and directed by the Office of Cultural Affairs staff and Airport staff. Becker, dated November 15, 2016: to contribute $200,000 as "seed money", pending budget approval, that can be used to leverage additional matching art sponsorships from local corporate partners or other entities to maximize the potential impact of the art. Appeals of Public Records Act Request OPEN FORUM (1) Martha O'Connell, Mobilehome Commission thanked Council Member Chappie Jones for his response to her letter and reiterated that openness and transparency is important to the community. (2) Lee Ellak expressed his support to providing information to the public about the mobilehome park closure ordinance.
