Visa Validity A Tourist visa (subclass 600) allows stay of 3, 6 or 12 months. Following an assessment of your application by a visa officer, a decision will be made on whether or not to grant a visa and for what period of time. It may be granted for a single entry or multiple entries within a specified period. It should be noted, however, under Australia s migration regulations, decision-makers may grant a Tourist visa permitting the visa holder to travel to and to remain in Australia for a specified period that they see as appropriate. In some circumstances the stay period granted may be less than the stay period requested by the applicant. Terms and Conditions Only one passport-holder can apply on one form. You can include in your application any children on your passport who will be traveling with you. If another adult is included in your passport they should complete a separate application form. Visitors to Australia must be willing and able to abide by the conditions listed below while in Australia. If you do not abide by these conditions, your visa may be cancelled or may be subject to other penalties. Conditions:8101 You must NOT work while in Australia. 8201 You must NOT study for more than 3 months while in Australia. 8205 Where this condition applies, and you intend to study for longer than 4 weeks, you are required to pass further health examinations before you are able to commence study. 8503 No Further Stay. This condition means that the holder of the visa on which the condition has been imposed will not, after entering Australia, be entitled to be granted any other visa, except in extremely limited circumstances, while the holder remains in Australia. If the 8503 condition is imposed on your visa, it will be indicated on the visa label. All visas are issued at the discretion of the Immigration Department and Visa First bear no responsibility for the rejection of any application. The fees are not refundable regardless of the outcome of the application. Visa First advise against purchasing restricted or inflexible tickets prior to visa issuance. Visa First reserve the right to return any application without the requested visa issued, provided the application details provided do not comply with the Immigration Department s requirements, or if there is insufficient time to obtain the visa.
