CONTEST: SAVE YOUR WAY TO SEE «ONE DIRECTION» RULES 1. CONTEST PERIOD The contest is organized by the Caisse populaire Trillium (the Contest Organizer ) and runs from 12:01 a.m. on July 1st, 2015 to 11:59 p.m. on August 15th, 2015 (the Contest Period ). 2. ELIGIBILITY The contest is open to Ontario and Quebec residents ages 11 to 13, inclusive, as of February 1, 2015, and who are members of the Caisse populaire Trillium (the Eligible Contestants ). 3. HOW TO ENTER No purchase or consideration necessary. To enter, Eligible Contestants must deposit in one of our centers between July 1 st to August 15th 2015. Every deposit give you one entry for the draw. 4. PRIZES In total, 6 tickets will be awarded. Every winner will receive 2 tickets to see the group «One Direction» on September the 8th 2015 at the Canadian Tire Center. 5. DRAW AND AWARDING OF PRIZES The winners will be determined by random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. 6. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 6.1 In order for a selected contestant to be declared a winner, the following terms must be met: The Contest Organizer will contact the selected contestant s parent or legal guardian by phone or email within 2 days of the draw. The parent or legal guardian must be reached within two attempts and must return the Contest Organizer s call within 48 hours after a voicemail, if any, is left, failing which the selected contestant shall forfeit their right to the prize. The Contest Organizer will then contact the parent or legal guardian of the Eligible Contestant whose name is drawn next and the same procedure will be followed, until such time as a winner is declared..
A parent or legal guardian must confirm that the selected contestant meets the conditions for eligibility and the other requirements described herein. A parent or legal guardian must sign a declaration and waiver of responsibility form (the Declaration Form ). The Declaration Form will be sent by mail or email and must be returned to the Contest Organizer within 5 business days of receipt. Should the selected contestant fail to meet the above-mentioned terms or any other condition herein, the contestant will be disqualified, and at the Contest Organizer s discretion, the prize will be cancelled or a new draw will be held for the prize, in accordance with these contest rules, until a contestant is selected and declared the winner. In such a case, the same terms and conditions will apply and be adapted as necessary. 6.2 Awarding the prize. Within ten days of receiving the Declaration Form, the Contest Organizer will notify the winners in writing of the terms for receiving the prize. Should a winner refuse to claim their prize, the Contest Organizer will be released from any obligation related to the awarding of said prize and may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or hold a new draw as described in the preceding paragraph. If the winner is a minor and resides in Quebec, the prize may be claimed only by the person who has entered the contest with the written consent of one of their parents or a guardian, who will confirm the contestant s age and compliance with all the terms and conditions of the contest, and release the Contest Organizer and the persons for whose benefit the contest is being held from any liability with respect to damage or loss arising from participation in this contest, the awarding or use of the prize, the quality thereof, and any defect therein or its loss during transportation, by signing the Declaration Form. If the winner is a minor and resides in Ontario, the prize may be claimed only by the father or mother with whom the winner resides, or the person who has legal custody of the winner. One of those parties shall confirm, in writing, the contestant s age and compliance with all the terms and conditions of the contest, shall accept the prize and shall release the Contest Organizer and the persons for whose benefit the contest is being held from any liability with respect to damage or a loss arising from participation in this contest, the awarding or use of the prize, the quality thereof and any defect therein or its loss during transportation, by signing the Declaration Form. 6.3 Verification. All entries and Declaration Forms may be subject to verifications by the Contest Organizer. Any entry or form that is, as the case may be, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, mechanically reproduced, damaged, fraudulent, or submitted late, or that contains an invalid telephone number or is otherwise non-compliant, may be rejected and will not be eligible for the draw or the prize.
6.4 Disqualification. Any person who enters or attempts to enter this contest by means that are not in keeping with these rules or are liable to be unfair to other contestants (i.e., fraud) will be automatically disqualified and may be brought before the relevant legal authorities. 6.5 Conduct of the contest. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest constitutes a violation of civil and criminal law. In the event such attempts are made, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to reject the contestant s entries and to take legal action. 6.6 Acceptance of prizes. The prizes must be accepted as described herein and no exchange, substitution or transfer to a third party is possible except as stipulated herein. 6.7 Limitation of liability. If the Contest Organizer is unable to award the prizes as described herein, it reserves the right to award a like prize of equal value, or, at its entire discretion. 6.8 Limitation of liability: Use of the prize. The parents or legal guardians of the winners release the Contest Organizer and persons on whose behalf the contest is held of all liability for any damages that may occur as a result of entering the contest or accepting or using the prize. Winners acknowledge that as of the receipt of the letter confirming their prize, the fulfillment of obligations related to the prize becomes the entire and exclusive responsibility of the various product and service suppliers. The winners undertake to sign or have a parent or legal guardian sign (in the case of minors) a Declaration Form to that effect prior to receiving the prize. 6.9 Limitation of liability: Conduct of the contest. The Contest Organizer and persons for whose benefit the contest is held shall not be liable for any malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, loss or lack of network communication or any transmission that is faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or deleted by any computer or network that may limit or prevent any person from reading the contest rules and regulations. They shall not be held liable with respect to any loss or damage that may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by any web page or software download and/or transmission of any information concerning participation in the contest. More specifically, if the administration, security, impartiality, integrity or conduct of the contest is corrupted or seriously affected, namely because of a virus, bug, unauthorized intervention, alteration, fraud, technical computer failure or any other cause, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, extend or suspend the contest without prior notice. 6.10 Limitation of liability: Entries. The Contest Organizer and the persons for whose benefit this contest is being held shall not be held liable for lost, misdirected or late entries due to a postal service-related problem, or any other fault, for any reason
whatsoever, of the website during the Contest Period, including any damage to a contestant's computer or mobile device. 6.11 Limitation of liability: Situation beyond the Contest Organizer s control. The Contest Organizer and the persons for whose benefit this contest is held shall assume no liability whatsoever for any situation in which their inability to act results from an event or situation beyond their control, or a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute occurring on their premises, or in the Canadian Tire Centre were will be held the show. 6.12 Contest changes. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the event of the occurrence of any event or human intervention that could alter or influence the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the contest as stipulated herein. The Contest Organizer shall not be held liable should such an event occur. 6.13 End of participation in the contest. If participation in the contest must be terminated, in whole or in part, for whatever reason, before the closing date provided in these contest rules, the Contest Organizer may proceed, at its sole discretion, with the draw among the entries duly received and registered up to the date of the event ending participation in the contest. 6.14 In all cases, the Contest Organizer cannot be required to award more prizes or to award any prize other than in accordance with these contest rules. 6.15 Limit of liability: Contest participation. By entering or attempting to enter this contest, any such person releases the Contest Organizer and persons for whose benefit the contest is held from any liability for any damages that they may suffer due to entering or attempting to enter the contest. 6.16 By accepting the prize, the parents or legal guardians of the winners authorize the Contest Organizer to use, if required, their name, photo, likeness, voice, place of residence, prize amount and/or statement for publicity purposes, without any form of compensation. 6.17 Communication with contestants. There will be no communication or correspondence with contestants as part of this contest, except as provided for in these rules or at the Contest Organizer's initiative or to obtain consent to use entries from contestants who entered the contest without purchase or consideration. 6.18 Personal information. The personal information collected on contestants will be used solely for the purpose of managing the contest. No communication, commercial or otherwise, that is not related to the contest shall be sent to contestants, unless they have otherwise given their consent. 6.19 Property. Declaration Forms are the property of the Contest Organizer and will not under any circumstances be returned to contestants.
6.20 Decision. All persons who enter the contest agree to be bound by these contest rules and to final decisions by the Contest Organizer administering the contest. 6.21 If a section of the contest rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable or invalid by a competent court, that section will be considered invalid, but all other sections shall be applied within the limits of the law. 6.22 These contest rules are available at www.desjardins.com/caisse-trillium 6.23 This contest is subject to all applicable laws. 6.24 In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version shall prevail.
