THE OTTAWA SENATORS FOUNDATION The Ottawa Senators Foundation empowers children and youth to reach their full potential by investing in social recreation and education programs that promote both physical and mental wellness. They are committed to ensuring that kids are given the opportunity to be active, engaged and feel good about themselves. In partnership with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, alumni association, corporate partners and fans, more than $100 million has been contributed to thousands of initiatives and charities in the National Capital Region. The foundation makes a direct impact in the lives of so many each year. Last year, over $1 million was raised through our signature events to support kids in our community.
OUR 4 PILLARS SOCIAL REC REATION EDUCATION The Ottawa Senators Foundation SENS RINKS program enables hundreds of kids and families to have a place in their community to get active, establish healthy routines and provide access to programs and activities that otherwise would have been out of reach. The Ottawa Senators Foundation has more than $1.9 million currently endowed at post-secondary institutions across the region. Since inception more than 300 bursaries valued at $358,000 have been awarded to youth. PHYSICAL & MENTAL WELLNESS The Senators Sports & Leadership League provides Boys & Girls Club members immersion in social activity, education, teamwork and leadership. This year alone, the I Love To Skate program had more than 500 children participate. The SENS Campership Program enables children and youth, aged 4 to 17, from 36 communities in eastern Ontario and 10 communities in western Quebec the opportunity to attend camp this summer. Since 2009, the Ottawa Senators Foundation has pledged more than $1.5 million of support with charitable organizations focused on meeting the needs of families with children and youth suffering from various forms of mental illness. ROGER NEILSON HOUSE The foundation has made a commitment to cover an important portion of the annual operating budget for Roger Neilson House and to help build an endowment fund to provide for its future financial stability and growth.
THE ANNUAL FERGUSLEA SENATORS SOIRÉE PRESENTED BY BELL For over 10 years, the Senators Soirée has been one of the region s most successful and exclusive fundraising events. The goal of Ferguslea Senators Soirée is to raise funds that will support the ongoing work of the Ottawa Senators Foundation of promoting and making accessible, child and youth activities that enable both physical and mental wellness through social recreation and education programs. Guests will be treated to an exciting evening of creative entertainment, some of the region s best food & drink, and the opportunity to meet Ottawa Senators players, Alumni, senior management, business leaders and other celebrity guests. Held in the elegant Hilton Lac Leamy Hotel & Conference Centre, the evening s program provides guests ample time and space for networking, and the opportunity to create a memorable moment with your favourite Ottawa Senator. This year s event will be Mardi Gras themed and will be held on Feb 11, 2018. Over the past 10 years, the Senators Soirée has raised over $3.25 million.

THEME Mardi Gras The traditional Mardi Gras ball is a lavish affair, calling for floor-length gowns for women and tuxedos for men. The royal colours of purple, green and gold are always acceptable. Beads and feathers are encouraged. IN-KIND DONATIONS The live, silent and raffle elements of the event contribute in a significant way to the net funds we are able to make available to the hundreds of charities in our community who are in need of funding for grassroots initiatives in health, wealth and social recreation.
