RULES OF THE GEORGIA REPUBLICAN PARTY

Transcription:

Dear Fellow Republican, We are coming upon the most exciting time in political campaigns the Republican National Convention. To be a Wisconsin delegate or alternate delegate is a great honor and experience few people get to enjoy. Each of Wisconsin s eight congressional districts will select three delegates and three alternate delegates to attend the convention. The remaining delegates and alternate delegates will be at-large selected by the Committee of the Candidate who won the state and then ratified by the Republican Party of Wisconsin State Executive Committee. Republicans seeking to be elected a delegate or alternate to the Republican National Convention from the First Congressional District must follow the process entailed in this letter and the enclosed application in order to be considered. Applicants must make the financial and time commitment required of delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention. Applications must be returned to the 1st District Chairman, Kim Travis, no later than March 15, 2016. If you are elected, the RNC will require that you provide a signed and notarized document on which you attest that you will (except in the event of an emergency) attend the convention. You will be financially responsible for all meals, travel, accommodation, and other convention expenses. It should be noted that while we do not yet have an exact amount, expenses will be significant. The 1st District Chairman, in consultation with the First District Executive Committee, and the winning Republican presidential candidate s committee is required to submit a list of names for submission to the candidate committee. The candidate committee then notifies the 1st District Chairman of their preferences for delegates and alternates; these preferences will be indicated on the delegate election ballot used at the district caucus. The information you provide on the questionnaire will be used to help the committees make their selections. Delegates and alternates shall be selected in two separate elections at the 1st District caucus. Three delegates shall be elected first, after which any nominee not elected may withdraw from further consideration. Then three alternates shall be elected. The delegates shall be assigned alternates in order of their election with the first delegate elected being paired with the first alternate elected and so forth. The delegates attending the district caucus will vote for any three of the persons listed on the ballot. Please remember that for you to be considered your application must be received by the district chairman no later than March 15, 2016. In addition, you must be a paid member of your county organization by the time of your county organization s caucus. Please contact your county party chairman regarding your county caucus. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Travis, 1st District Chairman, at kimtrvs@gmail.com or 262.607.0681. Sincerely, Kim Travis Kim Travis Chairman 457 West Geneva Street Williams Bay, WI 53191 www.1stdistrictgop.com Authorized and Paid For by the First District Republican Party of Wisconsin, Erin Decker, Treasurer.
