Twisdale it was ordered by the Legislative Body of Tipton County, Tennessee, at its April 10, 2017 Term, that the following Resolution authorizing County Executive, Jeff Huffman, to submit an application for a Litter and Trash Collecting Grant for FY 2017 2018 from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and authorizing the acceptance of said Grant be approved: RESOLUTION NO. 17/04/354 SAID MOTION PASSED ON VOICE VOTE. 510

A motion was made by Commissioner Mason and seconded by Commissioner Sterling that the Finance and Administration Committee take the Tipton County Fire Chiefs Association budget requests for FY 2017 2018 under advisement. Motion carried; none opposed. A motion was made by Commissioner Mason and seconded by Commissioners Turner and Jones that the Finance and Administration Committee take the Quarterly Sales Tax Report under advisement for FY 2016 2017. Motion carried; none opposed. A motion was made by Commissioner Sterling and seconded by Commissioner Barlow that the Finance and Administration Committee take the Tax Year 2016 Property Tax Report under advisement. Motion carried; none opposed. A motion was made by Commissioner Turner and seconded by Commissioner Jones that the Finance and Administration Committee take the Property, Casualty, and Workers Compensation Claims History Report under advisement for Tipton County. Motion carried; none opposed. A motion was made by Commissioner Mason and seconded by Commissioner Sterling that the Finance and Administration Committee adjourn at 6:55 pm. A proposed re zoning on Holly Grove Road from R 1 (Single Family Residential District) to FAR (Forestry, Agricultural, and Residential District). The landowners are requesting to rezone approximately 5.36 acres in 5 parcels along Holly Grove Road. 2. Amendment to the Zoning Resolution to replace Article IV, Subsection 4.250 with Outdoor Firearms Shooting Ranges. 3. Amendment to the Zoning Resolution concerning accessory structures in all of the zoning districts. After discussion and questions by committee members, a motion was made by Commissioner Tommy Dunavant and seconded by Commissioner James Adkins to take the 3 zoning issues under advisement until the May 2017 meeting. There will be a public hearing on these items May 8, 2017 at 6:45 pm at the Tipton County Justice Center. Motion carried; none opposed. Robin Racine and Matt McDaniel with the Tipton County Drug Coalition talked to the committee about what the Coalition does as it relates to alcohol and drug abuse. Almost every community has an opioid drug problem. Commissioner Tommy Dunavant gave the committee a report on Medic One Ambulance Service in Tipton County. The General Welfare Committee will tour the new jail expansion with Chief Daugherty at 5:00 on May 8, 2017 prior to our May committee meeting.
