Welcome letter Dear Colleagues and Friends, CIP is very happy to announce that the 4th Global Congress for Consensus in Pediatrics and Child Health will be held in Marrakech, Morrocco on March 19-21, 2015. CIP Congress brings an innovative and stimulating global academic debate platform searching for consensus and agreements on main child health pathologies, difficulties and controversies. The concept for the CIP congress and program was developed for Pediatricians working in Primary and Secondary Care, as well as for specialists in the diverse areas of Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgeons, Family Medicine Doctors, General Practitioners, Researchers and Policy Makers. The month of March is characterized by gradually rising daily high temperatures, with daily highs ranging from 21 C to 24 C over the course of the month, exceeding 30 C or dropping below 16 C only one day in ten. Currency The currency used in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham, often abbreviated as Dh. The exchange rates fluctuates, at the time of writing one pound is worth approximately 13 dirhams; one Euro is closer to 11 dirhams. Insurance The Congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to Congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of the Congress Airport Information and Travel to Morocco Marrakech has an international airport with direct scheduled flights from London, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Paris and Madrid and many charter flights arriving from all over Europe. If you are flying from the US, Canada, Asia or elsewhere, you ll have to change planes in Casablanca. Plenty of low cost companies fly to Marrakech. Some companies fly to Casablanca, where a plane change for the 45 min flight to Marrakech can be made Local Transport In Marrakech Petit Taxi: These beige compact taxis charge about Dh15 by day for trips within Marrakech, and slightly more at night Grand Taxi: These are fancy Mercedes you ll see near petit taxi stops and major hotels. They have no meters, and cost more than petits taxis after much haggling, but they ll take up to six people to out-of-town destinations. CALÈCHES: These are the horse-drawn green carriages you ll see at Place Foucault next to the Djemaa el-fna. One-way trips within the Medina cost Dh15; otherwise, state-fixed rates of Dh100 per hour apply. Expect a tour of the ramparts to take 1½ hours, and allow three hours for the Palmeraie. Cancellation Policy Cancellations will be accepted in writing only. A cancellation notice received by February 5, 2015, will entitle a reimbursement of 50% of the Sponsorship payment, under the condition that the allocated space will be rented to another exhibitor. No reimbursement will be possible after February 5, 2015. Terms and Conditions The terms and conditions of Sponsorship and Exhibition are included in this prospectus. Registration Information Please note that registration will open closer to the Congress date. Please refer to the Congress website at www.cipediatrics.org. Registration fees will be payable in US Dollars. Fees for Congress participants include participation in all scientific sessions, printed material of the Congress, an invitation to the Welcome Reception, coffee breaks, and entrance to the Exhibition. Information for Exhibitors A commercial and professional Exhibition will take place parallel to the Congress hours. We wish to maximize the exhibitors' exposure to the delegates. For this reason, all coffee breaks will be held in the Exhibition area. Please note that the final Exhibition set up, opening and dismantling schedule will be updated in the Exhibition Technical Manual, available 2 months prior to the Congress. Booth Decorations Exhibitors are forbidden to extend their booths into the thoroughfare or other areas which were not ordered and paid for by the exhibitor. Allocation of Exhibition Space Space allocation will be made on a first come, first served basis. A completed application form accompanied by advance payment should be mailed or faxed to ensure the reservation of a desired location. Upon the receipt of the application form with the payment, space will be confirmed and an invoice for the balance due will be mailed. Please note that three alternative choices should be clearly indicated on the application form. Space allocations will be made in the order in which the application forms with the payment have been received. Advance payment will be refunded if space is unavailable or if the space offered is not acceptable to exhibitors. Exhibitor Registration All exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company name. Two exhibitor badges will be given for every 4 sqm booked. Any additional exhibitors will be charged an exhibitor registration fee. An exhibitor registration form will be included in the Exhibitor Technical Manual.
